I'm really disappointed with the new Sugarbun/Well Food. It upsets me even more that I am disappointed considering how this was my favourite place.
Before, Sugarbun alone had 2 floors, and RioCoffee had a separate floor. Now, all 3 floors are combined into one, which makes place feel so messy. The atmosphere felt so hectic and crowded.
The menu that currently shows in here is not accurate. Meals are the same but the prices are very high. The quality and the quantity of the food doesn't match the price.
I feel like the quantity they serve has become very less. The rice, French fries, even the cold drink.
The kids' zone is always very disappointing. Before, there were just some small little rides that kids could go on for free, but they've removed all that and replaced them with machines that require money. It kind of feels like they were trying to copy Hideout. They also removed their ballpit, which was also very upsetting. You have to buy coins for the kids zone and 1 coin costs 50 Taka.
The electricity went away for a good 5 minutes suddenly. We were playing a game on one of the machines when it went away, which turned off the game. When the electricity came back, the game restarted and they refused to let us continue the game for free because "the electricity is not our fault" I understand the electricity is not their fault but we paid for that game and not being able to continue that because of electricity is not our fault either.
In short:
There are several SugarBun restaurants at Chattogram, Bangladesh under WellFood roof. This is located central GEC mor, a very busy area. The location is good for transportation. They mainly sell various types of burgurs but there are other items too like Pasta, Chowmin, even some set meals. There is not much ambiance in the restaurant but still cosy for enjoying foods with family and friends. They have special menus for kids. Foods are tasty and prices are comparatively affordable.
You have to pay first after selecting the item and waiter will serve. They accept both card and cash. There is no separate path or staircase or lift for the disabled but it is just on the 1st floor. This is not the place for big group of people to enjoy together but six or eight people can sit together in the long tables...
Read moreThis has basically 3 sections. Confectionery on the ground floor which sells their own branded items. 1st floor is a Malaysian fast food franchise Sugarbun and above that a café with specialty coffees and drinks.
The confectionery items are undoubtedly one of the best in terms of freshness, taste and quality. But over the course of time they have increased their pricing to an absurdly high level, to the extent a limited number of people tends to go there. So hate this part.
Sugarbun's food was mouthwatering in one time. The food quality is degraded a lot by time. The chicken, rice, coleslaw all of it are below average in taste.
There's a kids corner on second floor but most of the arcade devices are inactive. So yeah, just a...
