We had heard people on the beach talking about Snowy’s Beach Bar and didn’t realise that we had walked by it several times on our morning beach walks.
So we visited for a morning coffee. Sitting on the picnic benches watching the waves made the Americano feel extra special. Chris who was serving behind the bar couldn’t have been nicer and his Father David was engaging pleasantly with other customers. It was at that point we decided to return for lunch.
By nearly 2pm they had sold out of most of their menu offerings with the exception of flying fish cutter. Just as well as that’s what we were looking for. Again Chris was very welcoming and Dad David apologised for the lack of food offerings. Just goes to show you how popular Snowy’s is.
Our flying fish cutters arrived along with a cold Deputy beer. Some Bajan hot sauce just pushed the whole dish to what I would describe as excellent.
Highly recommended although if you want the fish cakes or lentil patties go earlier than we did!
Well done to David and Chris for a great beach bar serving great quality food and with stunning views near the Folkestone Marine Park & Visitors Centre.

I mentioned it to the waitress and she said that she forgot to mention that they just put them in (yet they sold warm beer). We decided to ask for 2 fish cutters - nothing too elaborate - and it took about 30 min until I asked what was going on with the order. Despite the two other tables with people they said that there was a missed up and that they would take 10 min. We also ordered 2 rum punches which were basically mango juice and a dash of grenadine… the total bill for 2 beers and 2 RPs was $50 Barbados…. Cash only. As I said. Don’t...
Read moreWe were excited to find a place with proper bean to cup coffee. We ordered a cappuccino and an americano. We also ordered his fish dish and wedges. They were very friendly but the cappuccino came with sugar, caramel syrup and cinnamon already added which was very sweet. When pointing out that the cappuccino wasn't what I expected the owner queried the person who prepared it and agreed it wasn't the way a cappuccino should be made but didn't offer me a replacement or not chargeable. He handed me a bill of $105 for 2 coffees, a small piece of fish with a green salad and a portion of wedges - a very expensive and...
