I parked in the lot next to Surfside, a free lot with about 15 spots maybe less, all first come first serve. I came at 11 am and got one easily. This is a beautiful, cleaned beach with no rocks at the shore line. The water is very gentle easy floating. It's busy with beach clubs and businesses, so offers to ride on jet skis and similar sports is easy here. It's more of the place where you buy a chair and umbrella. I took a towel and found a spot, which is fine, but it's a bit too busy there for that, so I got attention from locals. If you're in the mood for friendly chats, setting up on a towel is a great way to meet locals. If you want to chill, get a chair here. I loved it. Massey was across the street, so I was able to easily get water and take a quick break from the heat without driving or walking far. The town is right there, too, so...

Lots of restaurants and bars nearby so you can tap into their WiFi (if you must đ¤Ł), and close to the town centre so you can nip to the supermarket for beach essentials. At the opposite end of the beach is Folkestone Park offering more shade from the hot midday sun. Thereâs a reef 𪸠5-10m from the shore where youâll see all the fish đ you could ever wish for. For the stronger swimmers, đ, if you swim a little further out you can see turtles đ˘ grazing on the sea grass and coming up for air. Sunbeds are between $20-$30bds each. You have access to inflatable rides, jet skis and glass bottom snorkel 𤿠boats at extra cost.
