This is a nice restaurant, not a cafe. I would categorize it as fine dining. A smiling girl greeted me, and a smiling girl served me. That's saying a lot, considering smiles are hard to come by in Belarus. They have a smoking section and a non-smoking section. The smoking section is well-sepersted from the non-smoking section. The bar is next to the non-smoking section but allows smoking. This makes no sense, as I'm sitting almost as far away from the bar as possible in the non-smoking section and my sinuses are throbbing from the cigarette smoke. I've been looking forward to coming here for quite sometime, and was excited to give a 5 star rating, but the the smoke situation is something that can't be overlooked. I am being very generous with the 3 stars, as I believe the smoke is an automatic 1 star. Other than this issue, the restaurant is an easy 5 star rating. This is why I am giving 3 star. Everything is perfect except for the 1 major flaw. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner. The food was great compared to Belarusian standards. It was good on a world-wide scale. The prices were a little high for Belarus, but the quality of food justified it. As an American, the prices were...
Read moreCan’t go wrong with this place. This place keeps getting better for me with each visit. In my opinion, they keep the spot as best restaurant in Minsk (taking all other surrounding restaurants into consideration); and let me explain why.
Service is phenomenal. They have perfected the balance between being very attentive and yet not overly invasive/bothersome.
A well planned menu. Traditional French cuisine as well as popular fine dining dishes can be found. They also serve a business lunch menu from 12:00-16:00 offering more affordable options.
Seating options are vast. They have an outdoor patio split into two sections: for smokers and non-smokers. Indoors, you will find the same (section for smokers & non smokers) with a varied selection of seating options.
Occasionally, they will have a photographer during dinner who offers to take pictures of each party. On weekends, they usually have live music—or something of the sort, in the evening.
This restaurant is affiliated with Milano Cafe.
Overall, Cafe de Paris has everything you would expect from a top-tier restaurant—and often...
Read moreBeing in Minsk for the first time some years ago, we were told that a new cafe was open on Karl Marx street in Minsk Belarus. We visited this cafe for the first time. The staff was very warm and welcoming. We had a table outside, it was summertime. The street (Karl Marx) was very calm yet dynamic and vibrant. Lots of beautiful people, elegant people. The street was so clean. Cafe de Paris is just amazing, the coffee is so good, and after visiting some few time, we had to try a lot of what was on their menu, everything is up to high standards. If you are ever in Minsk, make sure you drop by Cafe de Paris on Karl Marx and enjoy a break there, suitable for business meetings or just hanging out with friends at leisure time. Enjoy the cool atmosphere and the best service by their well-trained waiters and waitresses. The prices are very affordable. This is a must visit Cafe in Minsk. Next time we visit Minsk, we will surely visit you. Thank you for being so good, we hope to see you again very soon. Highly recommended café in Minsk....
