Breadpoint — Restaurant in Antwerp

I honestly have no clue what all these reviews are raving about. Yes, the "fillings" are good and tasty but the bread is basically the type you can buy frozen in a 10 pack and bake yourself or similar to the one you get at e.g. Panos. This would be ok(ish) if it weren't for those ridiculous prices. In Brussels I pay ±3 for an in-house fresh baked baguette with basic toppings or ±6 if I wanna go really fancy, but they'll both be adult portions. After eating here I was still hungry. After some time in Antwerp I got the urge for a sandwich. I tried this place on the strength of the reviews, and was not disappointed. Great bread, interesting sandwiches, nice folks working here, and reasonable prices.

This is a perfect neighbourhood sandwich joint for a quick work day lunch. The fillings in sandwiches are amazing. I cannot believe it took me so long to find this place. The small personal touches like staff remembering and wishing me by name, asking for preferences and customising the sandwiches... makes this my go-to...
