While my party enjoyed the food, the entire dinner felt rushed. Even though we had made a reservation, time was apparently limited to only an hour and a half. And the staff definitely made sure we knew. As soon as our drinks arrived, the waitress told us that we had to order real quick, because as soon as our time was up, we had to leave. Nevermind that we were still waiting for our friend who was 15 minutes late.
Starters were good, but stressful. As soon as we'd emptied a dish, it was immediately taken away. There wasn't really any time to actually enjoy the flavors, because we had to eat so quickly. Again the staff let us know that time was limited, and our mains needed to be ordered ASAP.
So we did. My friends liked their main dishes. Mine never arrived. Ten minutes before our deadline, I asked what was up, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time left for me to still get my order. Time is limited, time is money.
Ultimately I asked if I could take my meal to go then, to which the staff obliged. I ate it at my friend's house, which was for sure more relaxing than my experience at the actual restaurant.
It's a shame. I used to like Camino a lot. Now I'm not sure if I'll go back any time soon. It's obvious the restaurant cares more about the money they make and the amount of tables they can fill in a night, than about their actual customers.
This was genuinely the most stressed out meal I've ever had -- and I've sat through quite a bit of uncomfortable family dinners. We never even had a chance to order a second drink, which is wild to me.
Covid safety also wasn't a thing, by the way, because more people = more...
Read moreI'm very sorry to say this but Camino used to be a fantastic place to enjoy good food and natural wines. Sadly this is not the case anymore. When I have to order my food and drinks through an app it felt like I was very disconnected to the staff and the restaurant in general. I'm not well known with asian food so having no one who would help me was frustrating.
I hate being so negative because I enjoy going out to dinner and enjoy my night out with people. And I'm not the type of guy that bashes on everything that is slightly different from what he expected but this was just bad from start to finish. Ordering your food through an app, waiters that use the app as an excuse not to take your order, food coming out at a far to fast pace which made me question if it was fresh. I'm sorry Camino, I used to love you but be better. I don't want to pay a restaurant price for a...
Read moreThe non-existent service - One person in our group did not receive his entree after everyone else did already, our server (the one with tattooed arms) did not bother to tell us they sold out of that dish until we finally asked what's going on after waiting for some time. When asked, he reacted in such a weird way and smiled as if he thought it was funny that we were the unlucky table who ordered something that was sold out. No apology for not informing us, no suggestion of ordering something else, just plain rudeness like he couldn't care less. The food - inconsistent quality, often way too salty. They should really use Korean rice if they're gonna serve Korean dishes. In any case I won't be returning to a place that employs people who don't know a thing about...
