Corazón de Melón — Restaurant in Antwerp

This place was a disaster. We had a reservation for 8 people. The waiter offered us a mixed meal of tapas for 30€ per person. We didn't even receive a menu, unless we specifically asked for it. The offer the waiter made us wasn't even mentioned in it. But we thought we'll give it a try (except for one person who took something else). We ordered some wine (didn't even received a wine card) but we trusted the waiter. The food actually tasted very good, but for a group of 8 people we received ridiculously little food. We even noticed other people who also took the offered mixed tapas meal, and to compare the amount of food: when they received one plate for 2, we received two plates for 7. Plus, it took a very long time till the food was ready. In the end we also discovered the wine the waiter offered us was 45€ a bottle, so suprise suprise...

Conclusion: horrible service, too little food for your money, suprise bills at the end, but the food...

Wish I had more stars to give.. The lady is so homely and so nice.. she has so much of passion in the way she serves food to managing the entire place..I loved the way she customized my non alcoholic drink... The place is small but the flavours reminded me of the paella I had in Sevilla a year back.. The tapas was also quite flavorful..background music was soothing to ears.. I would recommend to anyone who misses spanish food and a break from local cuisine/flavours.

I tried this place for new-year's eve. It was a special menu. We came in a bit early and had choice of seating. The place felt a bit cold and also warm decoration is missing, maybe due to the colors of the painting of the walls. A friendly waiter brought us the menu. Except for the desert, the food was really good, so I guess this place must be good for tapas during the year. One minus point was that we had to wait a bit long for the next dish...
