We recently visited Hayashi for dinner on a Sunday evening during a day trip to Antwerp. The restaurant is conveniently located next to MAS Museum. The food was delicious - we ordered the Complete Teppanyaki menu, along with salmon sashimi, sushi and a hand roll. The fish was fresh and sushi was great. It was an amazing experience to watch the chefs in action as they cooked our food in front of us. The complete menu was a great variety of food, with good portions. Service here is excellent, and staff were very attentive and polite. We throughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend!

So good Japanese restaurant that I am still thrilled when recall dining there one summer night with a top score teppanyaki shrimp rich dinner with some veggie and rice of course. The place is in the docks area so a nice walk is a free bonus. The native Japanese team in this restaurant is excellent, not only in the teppanyaki art but also explaining what you are supposed to eat. Believe me, they were even able to convince me fully confused to try shrimp heads, well, they tasted great! Strongly recommend.

Amazing Japanese restaurant! Many different options ; a la carte, menus and also options vegetarians. Also large choice of drinks. We've been in Japan few months ago and it really gave us the same feeling as when we were there, and it's positive! Good quality food and also a nice "show". Friendly staff, very quick aswel. I totally recommend ! Good experience :) Arigato gozaimasu.

We thought we'd try this place out because of the good reviews for my girlfriend's birthday. But we weren't feeling like having teppanyaki and asked for their sushi menu (30 and 35 euro for one portion). We had a reservation there but as soon as we said we wanted the sushi menu they asked us to move away from the teppanyaki seats and move to the front (waiting area?) of the restaurant. We sat there in the cold staring at a dusty red wall far away from all the servers. And they turned on a television above us... why? The sushi was very average yet overpriced and although the waiters were very friendly, as soon as we didn't order the most expensive dishes (between 40 and 85 euro) we were stuck into a cold corner by the entrance. Also, this isn't a real Japanese restaurant. There are a lot better and more authentic experiences in Antwerp. You should only come here to party and throw away a ridiculous amount of money at mediocre food. There's always a first and a last time. This was both at...

I usually won't give the full amount of stars. Then again I don't like to give reviews, but this place just deserves the credit. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our seets. We had our personal chef Mr. Kinwai, he just made us feel welcome. What i usaully don't like about these restaurants is the ego of the cook, but Mr. Kinwai was extremely humble while still being the showman while cooking. His cooking-skill was still tremendous and could easily explain what he had prepared. In general this place has a good understanding of the Dutch language, it was our second time and still as good as our first experience... Bas Van Wolvelaer
