La Pipe d'Anvers — Restaurant in Antwerp

We went lthere a few week ago because of this place is closed to a lovely playground. There was not many people. So we have chosed the table which closed to the playground. The man owner/chef came to chase us away. He said that it´s reserved! But there were no reserved board on that table.

So we´ve moved inside. Almost 2 hours late, there were still nobody on that table. Actually nobody on that area.

Went with a group of work colleagues. The service was very friendly and good. The restaurant is quirky, as the name suggests lots of pipes everywhere. We had mutiple beef and chicken type stews with fries and salad. I can recommend the beef one it was full of beef and very tasty. Good quality beers, which is always the case in Belgium. We were going there mostly just to have a beer but apparently you can also eat here. It’s very cozy with very interesting interior, hunderts of smoke pipes and portraits of sailors with those ( what of corse has to do with the name of the place).
