Le Delizie senza glutine — Restaurant in Antwerp

Today, my friend and I walked past this new gluten-free bakery. Excited to see a gluten-free spot in the area (they’re rare!), we thought it would be nice to recommend it to a friend of ours who follows a gluten-free diet. We snapped a photo of the sign outside and I briefly stepped in to take a quick picture of the display to show him the variety.

To my shock, I was immediately and aggressively confronted by a very rude woman who began yelling at me without even allowing me to explain. Her behavior was hostile, and soon after, a man joined in it genuinely felt like the situation could escalate. I tried several times to calmly explain myself and even offered to delete the photo, but they had absolutely no interest in hearing anything other than their own shouting.

It’s a real shame that a place with such a valuable concept leaves such a terrible impression due to their attitude. 100% would not recommend.

Perhaps it might sounds like a commercial, but this place is really worth visiting. Would you like to eat really good pizza, please don't go to Italy. Years ago I ate best carbonarra, definitely not in Italy, but in Bamberg, Germany. The same story is when it comes to pizza. No matter if you live in Antwerp or just visit this place, it's definitely to spend some time there. Talk to the really nice owners and eat best pizza ever. Everything is gluten and lactose free, which is amazing. The pizza is genuinely good (not just good for gluten free). The baked goods sell out early in the day, though, so be prepared for that. This plays pulls at your heart strings. It's a lactose and gluten intolerant Italian woman and her partner (I think) who just want to bring safe and joyous Italian food to people. She's incredibly friendly and you can tell her heart and soul are in this business. You might need a little patience as it really is a small scale pizzeria but the food is so...
