MuroMaki — Restaurant in Antwerp

Note: I have tried 3 different sushi places during my trip to Antwerp.

The presentation is beautiful, 5/5. The rice was more vinegary and clumped together than I like though, and a huge part of the quality of sushi is the rice. A good sushi will have rice whose individual grains are distinct and texturally chewy. For that I detract 2 stars, and actually suggest other sushi places in Antwerp over this one.

My favorite was Maabista sushi (I think renamed to Unagi sushi), then second favorite was Kioku sushi, and finally this one is last. Don’t get me wrong - still good, but I think the rating for this restaurant is misleadingly high due to the nice...

I wasn't expecting too much from my take out tonight. I know sushi, maki and the likes but they all look and taste the same, a bit like when you order Chines nowadays.

I don't know the chefs but they truly show passion, attention to detail and quality of exquisite ingredients and that is quite unbelievable. I loved it, from easy ordering to perfectly timed delivery.

The sushi is excellent and of higher quality then other sushi restaurants in my opinion. They really put effort in every piece and you get a plate of art. You don’t get your typical big boat of gigantic rolls but you get a good portion of excellent and well made authentic sushi. Staff is super friendly, it really gives the vibes of a successful family restaurant (which is super nice). I advise you to reserve upfront because they are very popular (takeout) and spots to eat...
