Good food - unacceptable service
We left the restaurant with nearly €200 less in our pockets (without coffee or dessert) and a strong feeling of frustration. The food had potential, but the overall service and attitude toward customers were simply unacceptable. We walked out feeling rushed, unappreciated, and completely let down.
We had a reservation for 6:15 PM and arrived a few minutes early (around 6:10). The staff immediately pointed out that our table was for 6:15 — not a warm start.
The food itself was tasty, but unfortunately, that’s the only positive part of the evening. We quickly ordered drinks and appetisers, but took a bit longer to choose our main dishes. After placing the order, it took about one full hour for the food to arrive. One of the mains was a Korean barbecue that you prepare yourself — which is fine and probably part of the experience — but the lettuce was dripping wet, no plates were provided to help assemble the wraps, and no extra napkins were offered.
The service throughout was careless: empty glasses weren’t cleared, we ordered water and they brought the bottles without glasses, and after the cutlery I used for the appetizers was taken away (and I even mentioned it), no replacement was brought.
The worst part came at 8 PM, when we were looking at the dessert and coffee menu, and the youngest waiter was sent to tell us we had to leave because the next reservation had arrived. No one had mentioned beforehand that our table had a time limit — especially considering how slow their service was. They offered to move us to a low table, but we were with two elderly guests, so that wasn’t possible.
As we were leaving, no one looked at us, apologized, or even seemed embarrassed — just complete...
Read moreDuring our visit to Antwerp from Amsterdam, my husband had a strong craving for his home country's cuisine. We decided to try out this restaurant that had received some positive recommendations.
Upon reaching the restaurant, which was a bit of a trek from our hotel and left us quite hungry, we were surprised to find it completely empty on a weekday. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't welcoming either. The host's initial question was, "Do you have a reservation?" We hadn't made one, assuming that with no other customers in sight, it wouldn't be an issue. However, to our disappointment, we were promptly shown the door.
It was disheartening, especially since we hadn't seen any mention of reservation requirements on their website. Hungry and let down, we decided to explore other dining options. Luckily, we stumbled upon a fantastic Korean restaurant that completely turned our day around.
It's regrettable that our anticipation of enjoying authentic Korean cuisine was dashed. I hoped that I could recommend this restaurant to my in-laws when they visit next week from Korea but sadly this ain't it.

Read moreThis restaurant is supposed to be authentic, but the food was bland and obviously catered to white Belgian people.
We had a kimbap as our entree, which ended up being the most tasty dish of the evening.
As for the main courses, we opted for bibimbap and bulgogi jeongol. Both were extremely bland and the beef wasn't tender at all.
The staff and interior is nice, but it honestly couldn't make up for the lack of flavor. I've had amazing to mediocre Korean food before, and everyone knows how flavorful their cuisine is.
I'm very confused as I have other foodie friends who recommended this place. I wonder if this was a one-off thing. Maybe the usual chef wasn't in our they changed the recipe?
My dining partner was satisfied as she's less picky and less keen on flavor bombs, although she definitely didn't love it.
Sadly, I will not be visiting this establishment again.
Edit:
I've had very authentic Korean food before and while some dishes might be subtle, they were never bland.
I visited this establishment on...
