De Poarte — Restaurant in Bruges

DO NOT ENTER THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!

We came across this place as we were staying close just for a sandwich and a coffee. My girlfriend had a coffee and I opted for a pepsi, however as we watched the woman behind the bar make our drinks, she continued to pour the pepsi bottle into the glass, the owner muttered into her ear they both stared at us and she then stopped and placed the remainder of the bottle on the side, he then brought over our drinks and the small glass I had was half empty with no ice, I then witnessed the woman taking sips out of the Pepsi bottle that I had paid for, this is just bizarre in my opinion and made us feel very awkward. We felt very uncomfortable in this place as the people in there were all drunks, it stank of cigarettes, there was a small dog perched on the bar where all the food was being served and the owner was very unwelcoming. As we went to pay after our very average cheese toasty and FYI I really don’t no how you can mess a cheese toastie up but they sure did, we were told that they only accept cash and as we were leaving that day we only have a card for payment. Assolutamente Non entrate in questo schifo ti posto!!! Sono capitata per caso in questo bar, mentre passeggiavo per Bruges, avevo sete e volevo una bottiglietta d’acqua. Sono entrata ed era deserto dietro al bancone c’era una ragazzina (massimo 12 anni) con un chiwawa appoggiato sul bancone in mezzo ai bicchieri con la cuccia. Mi ha fatto molto schifo! Ormai però ero entrata allora ho chiesto in inglese se potevo andare in bagno e avere una bottiglietta d acqua la ragazzina mi ha guardato senza capire nulla. A quel punto si è alzato da uno sgabello (come fosse un cliente) un uomo che fino a quel momento parlava con altre due persone. Con tono molto arrogante mi ha detto che dovevo dargli 5 euro per andare in bagno! Io gli ho risposto che volevo anche una bottiglia d acqua e mi ha indicato la porta.. uscita dal bagno mi ha detto in inglese davvero difficoltoso da capire che dovevo ordinare. Avendo sete ho chiesto la famosa bottiglietta d’acqua per cui ero entrata all’inizio che però non aveva in plastica ( non so se fosse vero oppure voleva costringermi a sedermi e pagare di più) me l’ha data in vetro e mi ha dato anche un bicchiere ma visto il cane in mezzo ai bicchieri e lo sporco in giro ho preferito berne un goccio a canna, poi sempre molto aggressivo quando ha visto che tenevo in mano la bottiglia (xke mi faceva schifo pure appoggiarla sul bancone) mi ha detto che nn potevo andarmene con il vetro ma lui nn aveva bicchieri di plastica e continuava ad urlarmi che dovevo rimanere all interno del bar quindi visto che non capiva L inglese,gli ho detto un paio di volte di stare tranquillo che bevevo L acqua solamente me ne sono andata via lasciando L acqua piena e mandandolo affanculo sia in inglese che in italiano. Veramente un posto da evitare, sporco con il cane sul bancone e il proprietario davvero maleducato. Mi ha proprio aggredito verbalmente. Anni che giro il mondo ma un’esperienza del genere è stata davvero terrificante. Ci sono tanti altri locali belli a Bruges e dove il personale ti fa sentire in vacanza!! EVITATE...

Awful place. Very impolite and rude. There was a dog sitting on the table near the chips and the glasses. We were three but only one of us wanted a Cappuccino. They said that if we want to stay we had to take three drinks or go away and pay 50 cents because my father (66 year old) went to the toilet. It's was no crowded. Very unfriendly. We payed 50 cents...
