Visiting from London and I must say I loved this store.Lots of lovely items at very good prices.I spent far too much money.After this marathon shop we went to the restaurant and I must say the food was really good and again such good value.Try the pancakes ! To make it even better we started a conversation with a lovely man working in the restaurant who spoke perfect English ! I think his name was Christoph .So friendly,welcoming,funny and informative. Well supplied shop with many things for home and school. If you are into it, you can also get a quick and cheap breakfast here (not every Hema offers such service). It also provides access to the toilet for 40 cents.

HEMA is natuurlijk geen topwinkel; kwaliteit is niet hun aangeschreven kenmerk, maar daar kan ik mee leven. Je weet immers wat je koopt.

Waar ik niet kan mee leven, is de onvriendelijkheid van het personeel hier. De winkel zit heel vreemd in elkaar, in die zin dat alles door een kleuter is ingedeeld, lijkt wel. Bijgevolg ervaar ik, wanneer ik weinig tijd heb, veel moeite met het juiste product te vinden. Er is meestal een lage bezetting van het personeel, waardoor er één kassa bediend wordt, en één iemand in de voorraadruimte zit te spelen. Als je dan een vraag durft stellen, mag je op de volle lading onvriendelijkheid rekenen.

Uiteraard ben ik volledig bereid in discussie te treden met dergelijke personeelsleden, zeker als ze hun boekje te buiten gaan. Ik sta immers niet garant voor hun uitspattingen ten gevolge van drukte. Maar als dit probleem zich telkens voordoet, lijkt het mij eerder een onzorgvuldige aanwerving van...
