t Pallieterke — Restaurant in Bruges

Absolutely dreadful food and the rudest waiter and owner I’ve ever came across.. me and my boyfriend came to Bruges for just one day and were looking for a cozy place for lunch with outdoor seating area. We went for a set lunch menu. The soup we got was cauliflower and I love cauliflower but it was absolutely appalling.. common you can’t even make tasty soup.. I didn’t touch my soup and the waiter was completely oblivious and ignored us the whole time.. there was no service whatsoever.. lunch should be quick, but not in this place as you need to wait for ages until you are served. And yeh the owner bringing my main course said you ordered soup and we can’t change anything and everyone likes this soup and I am the only one who doesn’t ..:))and she even asked me if I own a restaurant.. completely oblivious to what a customer service is and haven’t not even a slightest notion how to take criticism.. she even asked my boyfriend because he ate it all - (getting up in the morning at 4am flying and then travelling the whole afternoon ofcourse you get hungry..:) )he said it was very bland and the owner didn’t even know what that meant... so what sort of food you can expect..anyway I didn’t even touch my maincourse and left. The way they are treating their customers is appalling and no one should have to deal with it, common we are just hungry and want to have a tasty lunch. Avoid...

Disappointing meal. The three pieces of rabbit had very little meat on them. It had not been cooked long enough. It was not rare but the meat had to be cut off the bone rather than being tender and falling off the bone. The sauce it came in was more like a gravy and had little taste. The accompanying apple sauce was too much and clearly out of a bulk catering pack. The croquettes that you buy frozen from the supermarket are better than those that were served and the glass of wine was only 125ml compared to other places which charge the same price but are either 150 or 175ml. Food was nice, service was terrible. The waitress was rude, arrogant and snarky - an attitude you wouldn’t normally expect from someone who was supposed to serve you. It took her forever to notice us and take our order. When we tried to inquire about the different dishes she didn’t really give answers, but only answered shortly in a patronizing manner. Whenever we needed something from her she just passed briefly next to us, on purpose not giving us a chance to ask. Didn’t even get a nice “goodbye and thank you” when we left.
