I stayed 4 days in this hotel and it was the worst experience of my life. I am a instructor in a university and I stayed at the hotel leopold with my family to give a lecture. First of all, there was no reception, we got the key from another hotel, the hotel was damp and the ceilings were falling apart. The room was never cleaned while we were in the hotel, no one came even to take the garbage. though we reminded the reception of the other hotel 2 times to take the trash, no body came again. Then we asked the cleaner, whom we met by chance, to take the garbage that I had prepared and put in front of the door, and they took them after 1 day. Later, we realized that the things we thought were flies in the hotel (they appeared especially at night) were bed bugs. When I asked the housekeeper about this, he/,she did not give an answer and he did not speak English. I honestly didn't know that these bugs were so troublesome. On the last night, when we couldn't sleep anymore because of the bugs, I went to the reservation of the other hotel but there was no one there. We left the hotel at 6 a.m., we couldn't stay any longer. I reported this to well known hotel site where I made the reservation but the reply of the hotel was very interesting. They sald "There was no bug in the room", this is an official response to agoda. But in the informal message written to me by the hotel authorities was very strange. they were blaming me and stating that there was a bed bug but the bed bugs came from my previous stay. They did not know I direcly came from turkey so this is impossible. Neither agoda, nor the hotel give me satisfactory response. Me and my family really bad days there. After all, the hotel is old, damp, has a bed bug problem, but denies this problem and blames me for it without apologizing. I would never recommend it to anyone. Agda is only consider the hotels report. They all playing with the customers health. Still this hotel is active on many platforms. No refund, no appologise, just a...

If I could rate this hotel as a minus one I would.||||I stayed here for one night (meant to be two) over the Christmas break. Booked through booking.com.||||The hotel is not advertised as a hostel. But that is what it is. You have to obtain the room key from a receptionist. The man at reception (late 40s, Caucasian) was extremely racist to begin. Towards other members entering the place who were not of ethnic origin, he was polite and very friendly. To me and my friend, he was rude and threatening.||||We thought we would move forward and enjoy our stay in Bruges. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a steep slope of stairs. Then entering the room, it was dirty. The ceilings were damp and rotted. Looked like they were due to collapse. The beds smelt. The radiator was blown up. To add, we had some medicine to store in a fridge. The receptionist informed us to keep the medicines in the communal hostel fridge that was in an another building. When asking what we would do if there was an emergency and the emergency medicine was needed, the receptionist shouted at us.||||After this, we contacted booking.com who was extremely unhelpful. Albeit also acknowledging that Leopold had falsely advertised and telling us that we would receive a refund.||||Feeling unsafe in the hotel. We left.||||Leopold, never refunded. As an NHS worker I was disappointed. I will be contacting the local police about the manner and evidence of false advertising at this ‘hotel’. By any means,...

We booked this as a hotel through Agoda but a few days before we were told we would need to collect our key from the nearby hostel. We were then taken to our room, through a doorway from a narrow alley and up two flights of steep stairs. The first thing you are greeted with is a sign on the kitchen cupboard stating that dishes must be washed, dried and put away or you would be fined €50! |To say the photographs of the family room are generous would be a huge understatement - it was dark and dingy. The sheets were stained and torn and there were holes in the walls. We decided immediately that we would not be staying but needed to move our vehicle as we have only 20 minutes of parking. By the time we returned to say that we were checking out, we were told that no refund could be provided and we would have to take it up with Agoda or Booking.com|Upon our return, we did this and were offered $90 in vouchers towards another stay - for a booking that had cost us €335! |Avoid at all costs - we found a lovely little camping ground an hour's walk out...

Nice and tidy room in a very central position: 15 minutes (walking) from the central station, from where you can also take the bus to the airport, and 5-6 minutes away from almost every attraction in the center of Brugge. The hotel provides you with a city map and if you still have something to ask, you have the tourist information right in front of the building, which is very useful. You can have your breakfast in the structure for 10 euros (Although we didn't) the staff was nice, they even let you leave the luggage after the check-out time if you need it. if you plan to move around the city it's the perfect place to stay. the structure has no elevator but it has only two floors so it's not a big deal

This is a self-service hotel with minimal amenities (you’ll get a tiny bar of soap, towel, and shower gel), free internet, and a bed with old, but (I hope are) clean covers to crash for one night. The narrow staircase that leads up to the room can be super creepy at night - not the best place to expect any sort of romance. But it is functional, and a good back-up plan if the hotel u actually wanted to stay at is overbooked.
