Very nice menu. Good fusion of Afro inspired recipes with Asian influences. The service was great. Amicable workers and they make sure you are well taken care off. Now let's talk food. We had samosas and the shrimps as appetisers. The presentation was superb, however the samosas were nicely seasoned (herbs)but just a little salty. The sweet and sour sauce did complement it and removed to saltness. The shrimps were ok but not great. It should be spiced differently and priced differently. Our next course was the afro mix 1. Just great. Nothing to comment. Very nice food, well presented as well. Nice atmosphere, great music, great food, very nice people. We had fun.

1. It took 1 hour to serve us the food. We noticed there was only one waiter/bar tender for drinks and service, and we assume they only had one person cooking. 2. The plates were tasty, but a bit strange that one of them came in a pineappke, but the pineapple was completely full (so no whole inside to fit in the food). So the good was literally on top of half pineapple, which was very hard to cut! Interesting is that the dish description said it contained "dés d'ananas ". 3. The place is nice, but not cozy.. it looks a bit lack of "love". Overall, we thought the place is overpriced for the whole experience. Tasty, yes, but not worth the wait.

Cela m'attriste de rédiger une note pareille. À savoir que ce n'est pas la première fois que l'on commande à emporter et que j'y aie déjà mangé plusieurs fois et je n'avais que du positif à dire à propos d'Afrosian. Après cette histoire, il a très peu de chance que je remange chez eux. Le 31 décembre, on a commandé un repas pour toute la famille, une commande de 97€ qu'on a dû aller chercher sur place, car le restaurant ne livre pas à Neder-Over-Heembeek. Nous avions commandé un afro mix 1 pour 3 personnes: les portions étaient totalement égoïstes, le bœuf n'était pas bien cuit et manquait de sauce. Ils nous avaient servi une bonne portion de bananes plantains, mais ces derniers n'étaient même pas bien cuits. Concernant les ailes de poulet, il y avait bien plus de chapelure que de viande, c'était une grande première pour moi. On avait pris en plus 2 portions de patates douces, ces dernières sont arrivées dans des boîtes de tailles différentes.... Je n'ai pas grand-chose à dire sur le plat SOSOJÌ à part qu'il était également gorgé d'huile. Bilan du repas: mauvaise digestion due au surplus d'huile et au manque de cuisson de certains plats et très grosse déception, car c'était notre repas du réveillon. C'était vraiment du vol en termes de qualité et de quantité. Ce que j'écris ici, je l'ai par ailleurs partagé en DM Instagram au restaurant, c'est dommage que vous ayez aussi peu de réactivité et de considération pour vos clients.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at Afrosian restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful. The bold blend of traditional African flavors with a contemporary twist was perfectly executed. The dishes were flavorful, beautifully presented, and richly spiced without being overwhelming. The warm ambiance and attentive service also contributed to making the evening memorable.
