Quite the disappointment. Firas looked troubled throughout the evening and was not very welcoming. Correct, but not friendly. The mezze menu for two was very small. I left the restaurant feeling hungry, and this has never (yes, never) happened to me as I'm not one to eat large portions at all. More importantly, most of the mezze were very cold which made them unpleasant to eat. Quite bland also, and lacking any of the vibrant energy you would expect from this type of cuisine. The sambousek lahme was particularly awful, but still not as disappointing as the falafel. The hummus was leaning too heavily on chickpeas and lacking in tehina. We had to ask for extra bread, which as mentioned in other reviews was not great. With all the great Lebanese wine being produced, it is difficult to understand why the wines on offer "chez" Firas are of such poor quality. Meat based menus ordered by other guests seemed to offer a little more value for money, though I cannot vouch for the quality. The steep bill included a beverage we never got, and it took two efforts to set the bill straight. Can not recommend.

Wonderful place with exquisite cuisine! It's a unique small place with personalised service. Everything we tried was amazingly delicious. The portions were right on point, and the food was freshly prepared one after the other. We tried the tabboule, hommos, batata harra, sambousek, makanek, rkakat, warak enab, and muhammara with a side of lebanese red wine and ending with halewet l jeben as dessert. Words can not express how great our experience was in such a great restaurant. The owner has warm care for the clients as well. All in all, deliciousness wrapped in a warm cuisine!

You have found the gem of high class Levant cuisine. I tried pretty much the whole menu and the level of detail in ingredients, preparation and service is hard to find elsewhere. You can taste the quality in these made to order plates at Chez Firas. The jazzy atmosphere might burst into musical improvisation at the piano or the owner might tell you a story or two from back-in-the-days while sipping some delicious arak. Take it all in and enjoy your dinner here. Hiiiighly recommended!

This authentic Syrian restaurant was such a great find, just a short distance from Ambiorix square. It is a small, quaint restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff was happy to answer our questions in English as we do not speak much French.

The food was amazing, comprising a wonderful mix of flavours with ample vegetarian options as well. We decided to have the shared menu for 2 persons, which included a salad, 3 cold entrées, 3 warm entrées, and dessert. All for a reasonable price!

Needless to say we were fully satisfied. 10/10 recommend and would...
