Attica — Restaurant in Brussels

I booked on the phone for two and asked to the waitress a table in a discreet corner. I also asked her if they had something special for dessert, it was a birthday occasion. She told me not worry. When at restaurant (which is with low light and an unremarkable decoration), she gave us a table like many others. The food was average, for the town (I had just come back from Thessaloniki...). I had to ask the dessert, there was nothing remarkable, but I hoped that somehow the waitress kept in mind my request. Then they brought a basic tiramisù (in a Greek restaurant...) and not even a candle. Perhaps I had too high expectations, but this is really basic friendly...

You can really get a feeling of Greek hospitality at Attica, the service is very friendly, starting from the moment of reservation. The restaurant is conveniently located, but both terrace and interior were noisy. Our expectations of the food were not met: the chicken skewers were dry (although on the suggestions menu..), and the « halloumi salad » had literally 2 ingredients: halloumi and green salad. Pork skewers were good. Overall, mixed feelings: it would not be my « go-to » place, but it’s a decent restaurant with...

Great food including the traditional Greek and international dishes. The place is usually filled with working people in nearby embassies and offices. Staff is friendly and swift in delivering. The only downside is the quite dark interior design and the lack of direct light in most of the place, even though there is some limited outside seating (weather permitting).
