Usually it’s my husband that does the reviews but I wanted to personally take care of this one, we stayed in brussels for one week last week so we visited lots of places, taverns, bars, restaurants etc, on our last day we came back to the flea market in the morning and we had our flight back to Italy in the afternoon, my husband and my son wanted to eat at lunchtime but after eating the previous day just at the place next to this one where the service was awful (staff was rude and bad organized, the wait was ridiculous even thought there was almost no one there) I didn’t want to eat near the flea market again but it was our last day and my husband really wanted to eat mussels and frite for the last time so I settled and we decided to eat here, I only had one coke (again, I was skeptical after our experience the previous day) but my son and him ate mussels and fries, not only the food itself was delicious (I ended up eating some mussels too) but the reason why I’m writing this review it’s really for the service, I personally want to say what an amazing person we found in our waitress, she took care of cooking some delicious food yes but the way she was friendly, caring and super professional at the same time while having other clients to serve, not one time she seem bothered by our requests, the attention to the small things it’s what really surprised me, my husband asked for some bread, she only had normal sliced bread but she went out of her way to toast it with some salt and oil because she heard that’s the way my son likes it too, it’s just a small gesture but still nice to see there’s still people in the food industry that put some love and care in what they do. Lastly, and this comes from my husband who ate mussels almost everyday for the whole week in Belgium, considering the price, this were almost the best ones, simple, tasty and perfectly cooked & seasoned. The place it’s nice, and when it’s sunny I think that staying outside it’s perfect, but we could not recommend more passing by if you have a chance to meet Valentina which was such and amazing soul to meet! I mean everything I wrote since we ourself own 3 restaurants in Italy so we know the industry pretty well and it’s not easy having a good balance in a workspace with the staff, but with pleasure we cannot wait to be back to pay a visit to mouton bleu as soon as we’re back in Brussels! A bientot,...
Read moreMight be my first and only review ever because of the great time I had here. Visiting on a layover from the states, we originally wanted to go to Le Chaff? but they had stopped serving at 11pm? Weird. Anyway, walked up the road and happened upon this GEM on the corner. The owner was absolutely amazing. Had a blast sharing stories before close. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Beautiful little spot. Thank you again for the...
Read moreTo get out of the rain and with a little appetite I took shelter in the Au Mouton Bleu. I ordered Spaghetti with Shrimps ...they were great and quite a big portion on top of it. The lady behind the bar was very nice and diligently attending to bar, kitchen and customers. The price was reasonable. Nice little place. Thanks for the...
