okay after an intense day of the European commission needed a place to relax unpack the loads of information and discuss with my colleagues. but where do you go after an intense defis day? here Bylbos 1898 it's a close walk and even closer to the metro station to get you to other parts of Brussels. when I and my colleagues walked in we were welcome I mean welcomed and were seated where everyone wherever we wanted to sit. okay had a couple of amazing Belgian beers on tap enjoying the amazing decor. get it gets better because it's always fun to converse with your host that found out that this place specializes in creating amazing Lebanese Cuisine. they even do the chicken wings marinated for 2 days slathered with this pungent garlic sauce from Lebanon. what I know is that if I was notified that I would die tomorrow and I was told what would be your last meal it would either be Pho or Lebanese chicken wings like...

I think the owner changed and not for the better I’m afraid. I ordered a small tasteless minced meat kebab and 2 bottled drinks and we paid 20.5 Euro! At the end we are shown a tablet with the price and when I ask for a detailed bill, I first get a proof of payment from Bancontact, then a bill featuring only a total amount... Used to go here 2-3x / month. But today was awful. A full twenty minutes after rest of table had gotten food, I was waiting for my boeuf tartare (how hard can raw meat be?). They brought out the fries - they were hard and over cooked. Ultimately I said I would pass on my meal, as we were in a hurry. No explanation, no real apology.
