Absolutely Disgraceful.

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything about this place was a disaster, the food, the service, the cleanliness and last but not least, the attitude.

We waited over an hour for just two dishes: one plate of pasta bolognese and one plate of potatoes. During that time, we approached the staff several times to ask if our buzzer was even working or if there was an issue with our order. Each time, we were met with blank stares or treated like we were the problem,l as if asking for the food we paid for was unreasonable.

When the food finally arrived (without the buzzer ever going off), it was inedible. The pasta was undercooked, and the sauce had such a strange smell that neither of us could take more than a single bite. The potatoes were stone-cold, lacked salt, and were also undercooked, clearly thrown on a plate without the slightest care or effort.

The staff? Unfriendly, arrogant and dismissive, with an air of superiority that made us feel like we should be grateful just to be there. The place itself was far from clean and given the state of the food, the hygiene standards are seriously questionable, possibly even dangerous.

To top it all off, the prices are completely unjustified. For what we got which was of poor quality, unsafe food in a filthy setting with rude service,we feel robbed. No one, especially not a place like this, deserves to take advantage of customers with such disrespect and low standards.

I attended the restaurant today twice, the first time was fine the second horrendous and I would suggest racist, ignorant and arrogant. I ordered a burger and emphasised that I do not eat pork. The person who took my order assured me by stating that I would receive a cheese burger without any bacon. When my order arrived there was shredded pork and bacon in the burger. I pointed this out to my server who looked at me blankly. He then proceeded to open the burger, remove the bacon and put the bread back on the burger and indicate that it was now ok. I said that I did not want it. His colleague saw the complete episode and attempted to intervene by saying I could have a fresh one. I genuinely was flabbergasted by servers behaviour and attitude so I declined. I asked for potato instead of which I paid £4 and received them cold/warm but this may be how they are served. I’m disappointed and would like you to talk to your staff about their customers and how such behaviour is interpretative. After the incident he made what would seem a joke because his friends/colleagues laughed albeit the woman (the person who offered to replace my meal) seemed to laugh uncomfortable. Dear owners and bar tenders, staff members! I dont like making any reviews  but please accept this one, because would be great the system at your "restaurant" becomes better. This place & especially your burger was suggested by my friends, so was very happy to finally be your guest. But instead i had a very unfortunate experience today at the Guinguette. First, one of your staff members was literally shouting at all the guests (some kids looked really afraid); second, the burger came with one hour delay (well we were informed that the delay can be 30 min (13.20-rush hour, we understand), but it came at 14.30, after kind reminder :) and well third, and most annoying is that i feel very sick this evening with all the symptoms of food intoxication (because most probably while my burger was forgotten while the meet stayed outside). I believe it was a bad day and bad luck, but nevertheless the situation was nearly inacceptable. I hope this review can help you to enhance the service (for example recruit some new staff members, or reduce the tables, or limit the orders. ).
