Greekit — Restaurant in Brussels

Disappointing at best.

It used to be a great place when it opened and I went there a lot.

Today at 21h20 there was close to nothing available. No yeeroz, no porc, no chicken.

The lady who takes the order at the cash desk is as charming as a cook in a prison movie. She was only missing a cigarette in the corner of her mouth . The way she informed me that nothing was available felt pretty rude. Then when I asked for a wrap with the fries not mixed inside she informed me that they do not do it. In the past it was always possible. Now she said it is not possible and if I wanted fries on the side I just need to order an additional portion.

I do recommend not trying the Greekit if the cash desk is operated by a lady. Maybe when she is not there I might try again.

On the website the restaurant is looking for new staff. I hope that it is to replace her.

I appreciate your reply.

In the early days it seemed that you and a partner where at the cash desk and client facing. Those days I was very satisfied and I did not write about it, but took my friends and family to your place. Also I recommended it to other people.

I took note that you consider my review as being insulting. Maybe my description is a little bit harsh. However I expressed the way I felt treated.

The point was not that you had no more ingredients.

It was your colleagues rude way of responding, when I asked to separate the fries in the wrap. Which you had done for me in the past and which never has been a problem as you prepare the food freshly. Then she added in a snappy way that I must add a portion fries, if I wanted those not in the wrap. So my point is her way of responding to me.

Maybe it was not a good idea to hope that she gets replaced. Instead I believe that it is just the client facing role is not ideal for her and she could excel in a...

Just by chance, found this Greek eaterie for lunch! Went during lunch rush (bit loud background) but managed to grab a 2 seater for myself and a friend (Greek!). Service was good, kudos to the woman behind the counter taking the orders AND serving them to the diners!! Food was really good! Now that's what I call a gyros and souvlaki! After several times taking out from this restaurant (with food never amazing but decent), I will no longer order here. This last time the food was not just uneatable but also not fresh. The impression is that as I ordered shortly after opening for dinner(around 18:00) they gave me rests of maybe lunch? The chicken was hard, the halloumi even harder, the salad seemed old and was tasteless. It should not be allowed to serve such food. Inexcusable. Never again.
