Read plenty of positive reviews and was quite excited about coming here. Well, I wish I chose another place. Proâs: Good pasta Good wine
Cons: Price (itâs ok and not that expensive but read below). They donât speak English at all (no Dutch either - which is, by the way, an official language of the city and the country). If you donât speak French or Italian - donât go, you wonât understand a thing. Lack of empathy in communication and service (we had to ask just about everything : to bring more wine, what kind of food we were given, some explanation about the concept etc). They served us like there were doing us a favour, a bit reluctantly, expecting us to know everything ourselves (like it was our 5th time in this place). There was just one guy (the chef) who was âallowedâ to give us some information about drinks and food while two other waitresses were just looking at our empty glasses in confusion. After that they would just yawn, turn around and leave without asking us if we needed something. Food allergies ? God forbid to ask you about it! They didnât bother, so again, we had to take initiative in our hands. Cooking and food concept could be a bit more complex for such a price. Starters were quite basic (made with lack of complexity, poor in taste and not with the best ingredients - at least they seemed like that). Meat looked a bit stale, fish was served with just potato, carrot and some basic tomato sauce. Nothing special. Some weird thing about water - they bring you two open bottles of still and sparkling water without even asking you if you need those. They charge you for them afterwards indeed.
5 out of 10. 2,5 out of 5....
Read moreSurprise, surprise !
Read moreWe've been here for dinner before and it was really good, if not cheap. But for lunch it's very expensive. There are no prices anywhere, and the menu is described verbally. We had a starter, two half-portions of pasta and a glass of wine for âŹ60 each. It may be this expensive because it was a fixed price menu (that included more courses), but it would be nice to be told it was a fixed price (when booking only a la carte was mentioned), or even better, we could have been offered the main course to take away. Shame, as the food was very good, the service friendly and they also did well to deal...
