The Mont des Arts, located in the heart of Brussels, is an iconic and historic site that is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the city. The name "Mont des Arts" translates to "hill of the arts," and it's easy to see why. The area is home to a number of cultural institutions, including the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, the Belgian National Archives, and the Royal Library of Belgium.

One of the standout features of the Mont des Arts is the stunning view it offers of the city. From the top of the hill, visitors can take in sweeping panoramic views of Brussels, including the famous Atomium and the spires of the historic Grand Place. The gardens and pathways of the Mont des Arts are also a lovely place to stroll and take in the scenery.

In addition to its cultural and natural beauty, the Mont des Arts is also a hub for events and activities. Throughout the year, the area hosts a variety of festivals, concerts, and outdoor exhibitions that draw visitors from all over the world.

Overall, the Mont des Arts is a true gem of Brussels. Whether you're a lover of the arts, a history buff, or just someone who appreciates beautiful views and a vibrant atmosphere, the Mont des Arts is a must-visit destination that you won't...

The Mont des Arts (Mount of the Arts) is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, and a scenic city view. I visited this cultural hotspot recently, and it did not disappoint.

Located between the lower and upper parts of the city, Mont des Arts offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Brussels. The combination of elegant gardens, historical buildings, and modern structures creates a unique atmosphere. As I walked up the stairs, I couldn't help but admire the perfectly manicured hedges and the artistic fountains that added to the charm.

The area is surrounded by major cultural landmarks, including the Royal Library of Belgium, the Magritte Museum, and the Musical Instruments Museum. Art lovers will find plenty to explore. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the steps, soaking in the golden sunset over the Brussels skyline, with the majestic tower of the Town Hall standing tall in the distance.

While it can be crowded, especially in peak tourist seasons, the experience is worth it. Whether you're into photography, history, or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind, Mont des Arts is a must-visit. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Brussels- you...

The Mont des Arts or Kunstberg, meaning "hill/mount of the arts", is a historic site in the center of Brussels. It is the elevated site between the Place Royale and the Place de l'Albertine. It's one of the most known places in Brussels for people to sit back on the stairs whilst admiring Brussels, if you go to the top of the stairs you might have a very beautiful view (similar to "Place Poelaert"). One of the most iconic places in Brussels, with a long floral garden and views of the city hall tower. The cube-shaped glass building adds a modern element to the area’s traditional architecture.

Some history folks: From being a block with houses, King Leopold II bought the area at the end of the 19th century. He began a total makeover and destroyed all the old houses on the hill. When the houses were gone, also his finances were ruined and the area became a forgotten project. So, Brussels had this ugly place between the Royal Palace and the Grand Palace and they really had to do something. Decades later, in 1910, the area was converted to a park.

It is a place where people can chill on sunny days, or go skateboarding or just having another point of...
