I made an online reservation for a group of 10 business relations about ten days before the date and time of my reservation. I received an email confirmation which CCed The Loft when I made a reservation, and another email confirmation which again CCed The Loft the same day of my reservation of yesterday evening (Thursday 2024-02-16). When I arrived at 6PM to The Loft as scheduled, I was told by staff there was no record of my reservation, and The Loft could only honour the reservation for a short part of the evening because they were fully booked, even though I had proof of a reservation. The group did not have time to order and receive food. While the effort of the staff to accommodate for the short part evening is appreciated, having to explain to my business relations we could not stay as long as expected was extremely embarrassing for me as I looked unprofessional. Read moreWe waited 1.5hrs for our food, when we eventually asked the waitress for an update she came back and admitted she forgot to put our order in. When the food came the orders were all mixed up and the waiters didn’t know how the steaks had been cooked. I asked for medium-rare and I got a steak that appeared to have been left under a heat lamp for ages, dry and overcooked (see photo attached). We asked to speak to the manager about the poor service and poor food but we were told that the manager did not speak English or French. Read moreWe have been two times there with a group, the reservation did not succeed both times, regardless which language we spoke on the telephone (French, English, Dutch...). Of course then a group of 10 caused havoc and they coursed why we did not make a reservation. Meals got lost both times, and even if we said that we are still waiting, only after the second complaint did the food actually arrive (at this point of course everybody else ate...).
