We were here on a Tuesday night. Many options around town were closed and we were initially hesitant to go here - it looked a bit fancy from the outside and you need to go inside to see the menu on the blackboard. However, we were so very happy with this restaurant. We had our 7 year old with us, who is a bit of a picky eater (which is why we were a bit hesitant about it being fancy - that often translates to food he wonât eat). There werenât kids meals on the menu, but the waiter assured us they would be able to whip something up for him. He ended up with the most incredible creamy pasta with pancetta which he ate until he was full. We had the gnocchi and the steak which were both outstanding. Washed down with a half litre of house red which was very nice. Our only regret is that we couldnât fit desert in. Very pleasant host, multi lingual which is a bonus, as we are visitors from Scotland, and I'm "brushing up", on my French! Thanks for your patience! He explained the menu thoroughly- for anything we didn't understand, everything is made to order,so no delay, very quick,efficient service,beautifully presented dishes. Ma compagne avait rĂ©servĂ© une table pour deux personnes hier pour son anniversaire. Au tĂ©lĂ©phone, la personne lâinforme quâil reste une table de deux et sâexcuse Ă lâavance car il y a deux grosses tables ce soir-lĂ et le service risque dâĂȘtre un peu lent. Câest dĂ©jĂ un premier point positif car peu le renseignerait. Elle dĂ©cide de tenter le coup, on est vendredi, on a le temps.
Accueil trĂšs sympathique du dĂ©but Ă la fin, nous nâavons nullement ressenti lâattente, le timing Ă©tait impeccable durant tout le repas et la personne de salle prenait le temps avec chaque client.
Point de vue plat : quelques entrĂ©es et quelques plats sur un tableau, rien Ă la carte, on est dans du bon ! Lâantipasto Ă©tait sans doute le meilleur antipasto que jâai pu manger jusquâici (sauf chez ma nonna dĂ©solĂ© mais ça câĂ©tait obligatoire ;-) ). La cuisson de ma tagliata Ă©tait parfaite. Jâai apprĂ©ciĂ© la simplicitĂ© du plat qui mâa permis de dĂ©guster au mieux ma viande. Je ne suis pas fan des tagliata avec une multitude dâingrĂ©dients qui cache le goĂ»t dâun peu tout. Ici, simple, efficace, dĂ©licieux. ObligĂ© de prendre un dĂ©sert dans cette lignĂ©e sans faute, mĂȘme constat !
