Chulo takeaway restaurant — Restaurant in Ghent

My friend and I had dinner in this restaurant. Their concept seems to be more made for take-away, since the interior has limited seating and does not look inviting. You don't come here for the view or general dining atmosphere though, but for the amazing food they serve! I had Mongolian beef and my friend had vegetarian glass noodles. We also ordered some Shambaley, Momo's and Samosa. Their main dishes were great, but I LOVED their starters. Food is freshly made and staff was very friendly. Price / quality of the food was also really good so I would defo recommend people to come and order some food here. Will defo revisit again! We ordered the Chicken Katsu, Mongolian beef stew and some beef dumplings. The beef pieces in the stew were overdone, hard and chewy, Sauce for this dish was heavily oyster sauce based and though tasty was too sweet for my liking. Beef dumplings were good and what you would expect. Chicken Katsu was OK but would have been nicer if the chicken coating was crispier. Friendly staff and reasonable...

I ordered a delivery for kimchi mixed fried rice. Huge portion which is worth the price! I loved the dish. Just one small note that the more I kept eating, it started to get a bit more salty. Anyway, still happy with the food. Will definitely order again or visit the place in person! :)
