Happy that I finally got to try their fries after missing getting it at Bruges and Antwerp. Itโs a bit pricey but for the yumminess of the fries, itโs so worth it!!! We got both the Caesar and the Parmesan Basil. The Caesar had bits of marinated and flavourful pork bits in between shredded lettuce. How can it get any better? The Parmesan Basil had real grated Parmesan and a lot of it too, plus a real Basil leaf in top. It tasted so delicious I wish all fries were made this way. Service was excellent, the lady was patient and helpful and really really nice. Interiors were great too. The only complaint was their homemade iced tea. It tasted like water (no flavour) and was not even cold, it somehow didnโt belong to this shop that had all the good stuff. Stay away from their iced tea and just do any other drink.

The best frites I've ever had! (Among the frites I tried in 10+ shops/restaurants in Belgium) Amazingly crisp and smooth. There is often a long line, and their frites are a bit more expensive than most other frite shops, but you should consider their frites more than just a snack. The seating area is congested, the order takes time (you have to wait after paying and they serve you fresh ones), and the staff is not always attentive enough (given the nonstop queue) but the taste of the frites can offset everything. Like many other frite shops in Belgium, they have a wide range of sauce selections, including stew. I liked the normal frites with some of their creamy sauces, but the stew was not bad.

As a Belgian myself ive always wondered if this place was worth the hype. Sergio Herman, the dutch cheff is well known, so we decided to give it a try. It was good! But nothing to write home about. Personally for me these are not Belgian fries, they are too thick and dont taste like the usual Belgian fries. I had the one with the beef stew(stoofvlees), it was okay, not bad but have had better in my other places. The Burger was extremely moist, togheter with all the sauce(cheese) it became abit unpleasant to eat. The vegetarian option on the other hand was very delicious! The combination of the tomato with the potato matched very well! I am glad I tried it, but I would feel very bad if tourists get the impression that these are Belgian fries. Theyre not, but they are special and unique, something different than all the other fry places.

Im not a food expert, but this is based on my own taste preference and observation. The fries are kindda ok! We ordered fries with flemish beef stew (on top). Free: dipsauces, which is nice, no extra payment. They offer lots of choices for your sauce. TRUFFLE MAYO MUST TRY! Fantastic sauce despenser. I LOVE IT! Give a beautiful accent to the place. Portion per order is a small potion for what we paid. (I think) They also have a good location. You can stay upstairs downstairs or even outside if you want, too. Their toilet has a nice smell, tho! Smell fancy (hahahahaa). But they need to work on, on their tidiness of their toilet floor or their entire floor in general. It is dusty and there are some fries mess. Thanks! Have a great day, everyone!

Visited 5:30pm during Ghent Festival and we were pleasantly surprised how quickly we were served since the area surrounding the shop was very busy. There was a small line of about 5 people but it moved quickly and it only took about 10 minutes to get our fries. Staff was friendly and welcoming. โฌ6 was a little on the expensive side but we shared them and it was enough for two people. The fries were nice and crispy/slightly oily on the outside and almost like mash on the inside. Would highly recommend the classic dip. We sat in and there was some rubbish from previous guests but overall it was clean inside.
