A good friend and ex-colleague, together with his girlfriend, treated my significant other and myself to a dinner at this cozy and beautiful restaurant.
The fancy but relaxed atmosphere and ambience, together with the staff's professionalism and attention to detail, really were wonderful. One of our waiters left quite the impression, his relaxed and joking attitude was a very welcomed presence to the evening.
Now for the food, I will start by stating we had used Social Deal but we were treated like any other customer and were waited on and served with the utmost respect. The smoked salmon amuse bouche was a delight, even though I am not fond of it, it was an eye-opener and I will consider trying more of the smoked fish in the future. My wife had the gratinated scallops and I had the carpaccio, both these appetisers were scrumptious and really opened up our appetite for the main dishes. Her main was the butternut Ravioli, although very good and delicious, she felt the proportions of butternut and ravioli were not the best (way more butternut than the pasta) but all in all she loved the dish. For me it was the duck breast in honey sauce, with rösti and vegetables, which were all cooked to perfection. The flavour of the duck with the sauce was divine, and the carrots and chicory added depth and paired well with the meat. Regrettably my stomach wasn't big enough to finish my plate... My apologies for that! Both my wife and I chose the trio of sorbet, ball of passion fruit, pear and, what I believe was, cherry and concluded an already delicious meal with the perfect ending.
All in all, the experience is one we'll keep talking about for a very long time and we HIGHLY recommend anyone to try the restaurant. We're looking forward to next time and we'll be most likely trying out their seasonal menu next time.
Tl;dr: Delicious food, amazing atmosphere. 6/5 if I could...

I have reviewed a lot of restaurants, as can be seen in my profile, but this is honestly the first time ever that I leave a 1* review. Literally everything was bad at this place. When we arrived, there was a group of about 20 people drinking beer at the terrace and just being very loud. luckily by the time we got our strayer's, they left. The food was all bad and generally not tasty at all. The tataki of Tuna was a joke, the boulliabaise was tasteless and came with fish that clearly came straight out of the freezer (still slightly frozen!) and the steak was among the worst I ever had. The restaurant owner (or waiter) was very rude, and not professional at all (who wears slippers as a waiter?!), and worst of all: after 30 minutes, suddenly a wedding party started in the big room next to us, making any conversation between me and my wife almost impossible. My wife even did not finish her dessert, because it was just horrible. It was a slice of cheesecake that had a very strange taste, as if was made elsewhere and imported. My desert was a cheese platter. It only had 3 different types, none of which were worth the asking price. And I am not even getting started about the musley and strawberry jam (?) It came with. Please, for the love of god, if you are in Ghent, go elsewhere. Even as a social deal, this was definitely...

Tl;Dr : 10/10. Will recommend to others and will return very soon!🏅
Full review : A bit late with my review but "better late than never."😅
I had reserved for the 3 course dinner🍽️ and we were not disappointed!
It was my first time being seated in the inner courtyard, which added to the ambience and atmosphere as it was a sunny day as well.☀️ The two waitresses were very professional and absolutely delightful.
Both my date and myself thoroughly enjoyed our meals :
For the lovely lady who accompanied me, she had chosen the Camenbert croquettes🧀 as appetiser, followed by the Butternut ravioli🍝 as her main and finished off with the crème brulée. As for myself, I began with the Carpaccio, the Ghent beef stew🍲 holds a weakness for me personally and, for dessert, cheesecake🍰. And we also shared 1/2 liter of rosé🍷, the name of which I have forgotten since.
All in all? Our evening couldn't have been any better, with full and satisfied bellies we continued on with and enjoyed our romantic🌆 evening to the fullest!🤩
I almost forgot to mention, we couldn't finish our mains but the staff gracefully offered to give us the leftovers in a doggybag🛍️, this caught me off-guard as most other restaurants don't offer this option to...
