Bocca Nera — Restaurant in Hasselt

A place that tries to create the impression that “we are full” even though there are empty tables. The food is quite ordinary, there is not much different about the place&food. Their own version of tiramisu is definitely an insult to Italians, don't try it. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat real Italian food. There are much better Italian restaurants in Hasselt, do yourself a favor and go to them!

You can be as desperate as you want. But we were there until 7:30pm and even at 7pm the place was not full, I don't think there were 50 people. The problem was not only the tables, but your disrespectful attitude and the fact that your food is closer to simplicity than originality. Good luck with...

Would not want to dine here again. The pasta with mushrooms was salty and heavy, Finger foods were actually okay. Tiramisu replacement(tira-kiss-u) is not good, do not order with the hope of getting delicious tiramisu. The design is nice but the service made us feel not welcomed. The people that were serving us were actually kind except one. She asked us to leave (we were not done with the drinks) so that she could make the table ready for the next reservation however by the time we left majority of the restaurant was...

Om te beginnen is het eten hier steeds zeer lekker. Gisteren ging ik er voor de tweede keer, deze keer met een groep van 4. Vanuit het restaurant zelf raden ze 4 gerechtjes aan per 2 personen. Je kan ook kiezen voor de menu van 7 gerechten voor 50 euro pp. De eerste keer dat ik ging was er ook een kleiner menu, maar dat hebben ze enkel om 17u30 zeiden ze gisteren?? Wij wilden liever geen groot menu, maar moesten ons nog steeds beperken tot 4 gerechtjes voor ons 4. Bij de vraag of de porties dan dubbel mochten besteld worden, ging dit niet? Dus we moesten ofwel de dure menu kiezen, ofwel 4 gerechten die normaal voor 2 personen zijn en deze dan delen met 4? Echt absurd! Omdat we niet tevreden waren, mochten we er dan uiteindelijk 5 bestellen. Sommige gerechtjes zijn fijn en makkelijk om te delen, andere echt niet (1 stuk aubergine in 4 snijden). Dus fijn concept met 2p of als je de menu wilt, maar met 4 a la carte is idioot.

Als reactie op het antwoord van de eigenaar... Fijn dat jullie altijd de moeite nemen om dit te lezen en te bespreken. Goed om te weten dat dit dan een fout is geweest, hoewel we het zeer uitgebreid met de serveerster beargumenteerd hadden dat dit toch echt niet logisch was. We begrijpen dat we geen 8 gerechten kunnen bestellen, maar vroegen zeer expliciet om 4 gerechten dubbel te mogen bestellen. Maar dit kon dus niet, zelfs niet na overleg met de eigenaar zei ze (wel dus het 5de gerecht extra). Maar goed, misschien had ze het dan toch niet goed begrepen. Maar fijn dus om te weten dat we nogmaals een keer kunnen...
