Coffee Cafe — Restaurant in Hasselt

While visiting Hasselt for the Wonderland Christmass market I decided to take a stroll to the city center.

There I decided to have a coffee break.

I ordered a Latte Vanille and a Christmas cake in this coffee shop.

Both were very delicious, keep in mind for the coffee that it is already sweet.

So don't add any sugar if you don't like too much coffee sweetness.

The Christmass cake was very tasty especially the white caramel speculoos like coating.

My God it's like it has been crafted in heaven itsel, a divine flavour and taste✨️

Another thing which is very neat, they have many types of toppings for the coffee to chose from.

For example you order a cappuccino, you can chose from many types depending on the choices in the menu.

Also their restroom is very clean, this is something that is usually overlooked in other places.

This place is a must if you decide to visit Hasselt and want to have a coffee and a delicious cake.

I saw all of the good reviews and decided to stop in for a coffee and dessert. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a slice of koekjestaart. Unfortunately, the coffee was sickly sweet and the cake was not sweet enough. I ended up leaving 80% of the coffee and half the cake behind. The cake served with the coffee was good, though.

The ambience was nice and there are a lot of cool things to look at- if you look up you’ll see a lot of music boxes! The only reason this wasn’t a 1 star is because the lady at the counter was nice, food and coffee came out quickly, and the environment was cozy. I almost never leave food behind, but the coffee made me feel queasy and the cake wasn’t good enough to be worth how many calories were...

I am really disappointed. This place used to be my to go coffee place when I needed to work. it was warm, welcoming, there was always a little treat for the client, you felt home. I went last week and i received poor service. The kids working at the bar were not nice or kind with the clients. They were also commenting on the customers loud enough for anyone to hear. They don't tell soon enough to the client that we can no longer pay by card. they don't even offer a treat anymore with the coffee, you receive a poor little cup on an empty plate. the door is broken and closed really hard - that needs to be fixed. And they don't have menu like they used to. I am really sad because the warmth of this place is gone...
