Maharaja Palace — Restaurant in Liège

Ok, so i know Indian food and have tried many restaurants in Europe, USA, and India, but this was barely food and I do not leave such bad reviews ever. I don't understand the high ratings. The food seemed so far from authentic. Reservations are recommended, but would you really want to visit this place?

Papad was the best , mint chutney along with it seemed stale. Samosas were thick (they should not be so thick), and had boiled potatoes (not fully cooked) and peas. Chutney along with the samosas was like a tiny drop. Garlic naan had no taste of garlic, I even asked when the naan came that is this really garlic naan. It was also undercooked. Chana masala was boiled chana chaat , not chana masala Mint paratha had no taste of mint! Paneer tikka masala was nowhere close to authentic !

All in all, it wasn't worth it

While we were on Belgium Tour, we visited liege for 2 days and decided to try out some restaurants as always. This Indian restaurant was one of the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The responsible guy in Orange Kurta ( waiter, service or owner ) was very unfriendly and was not motivated at all to serve us or talk to us , even-though the whole restaurant was empty at that time ( 20:00 o’clock on 16.08.2023) . The food we got served was one day old or may be older ( Paneer was like bubblegum and the rice was sticky ). What a pity! He should have just closed the restaurant instead of making money from old/ garbage food. I can totally support the bad...

Un scandale ! Une vraie arnaque ! Mon aventure au sein du restaurant maharadja palace est une vraie déception. Et tous va se résumer a travers un verre de coca cola. Après avoir passé commande je demande comme boisson un coca. Revenant des toilettes me laver les mains je vois sur ma table avec stupéfaction un verre de coca! Ou suis je ? En un bref instant jai cru etre dans une modeste buvette dun petit club de foot amateur au moyen tres limites qui offre au joueurs a la fin dun match un petit verre de coca dans un gobelet... Certe la cetait un verre a leffigie de coca mais son contenue ? Un pale coca provenant dune bouteille 1.5l tres certainement ouvert la veille. Un coca sans gout sans saveur sans gaz ... Quand jinterpelle le serveur sa reponse et comme son verre de coca .. stupéfiante " mais monsieur nous somme dans un restaurant pas un snack" Il nest donc pas en mesure dans un restaurant doffrir un coca dans une bouteille de verre voir une cannette comme dans un snack et sans vante ... et tous ca facturé plus de 3 euro. stupéfiant ! Le reste de la commande sera comme ce coca! Je commande un samosa aucune saveur si se nest le gout de la pomme de terre ... Je prend un chiken shahi korma mon plat prefere et la sans surprise aucun gout aucune saveur jai meme envi de vous dire sans gaz ... Le nan au fromage des plus sec je cherche encore le gout du fromage... Mon epouse commande un lassi a la rose elle fini avec un yop a labricot certe presenter dans un joli recipient typique indien mais oui un yaourt liquide a labricot... Enfin bref je vous passe lacceuil des plus froid " on a limpression de deranger" pour vous dire que nous avons etaient extrêmement decu par ce restaurant, que je ne recommande absolument pas !!! J ai ete dans de tres nombreux restaurants indiens dans plusieurs ville différentes cest la premiere foi que jen ressort aussi déçu... Et avec une facture des plus...
