PhilFa Restaurant — Restaurant in Namur

We chose PhilFa based on previous reviews, and it did not disappoint us. We arrived without a reservation just after it opened. I can imagine that might be the only time frame that this is possible. The restaurant filled quickly and stayed busy! Service was prompt and accommodated non French speaking clientele nicely. We were provided a small portion of bread, olives, and pork rind? premeal, and we also chose pain au gratin with chorizo (cheesy bread with chorizo sausage) as an appetizer with our beers. My husband chose the tuna entree , and I chose scallop ravioli. Food presentation and preparation were perfect. Dessert choices were lovely, but our stomaches could fit nothing more in. Prices are reasonable even with the high quality of the entire experience. There are so many lovely looking small restaurants in Namur, but this one is a must try! We recommend PhilFa restaurant...

After being told by several other places in Namur they were fully booked all weekend, we were seated immediately at Philfa - I suppose because it is new in town? We enjoyed our dinner very much. Plenty of space rather than the usual cramped bistro tables, a nice wine list with lots of choice at affordable prices and tasty, well-presented food. Service was the efficient, but friendly...

À notre arrivée, une légère inquiétude s’est installée, car aucune table n’était disponible malgré notre réservation. Les clients installés depuis 18 heures n’avaient pas encore quitté leur table, ce qui, en cette soirée de Saint-Valentin, était compréhensible. Heureusement, l’un des patron (du moins, je le pense) s’est montré extrêmement bienveillant et nous a offert nos apéritifs pour patienter, une attention particulièrement appréciable.

Nous avons débuté notre repas avec un foie gras savoureux, servi en portion généreuse. Nos plats étaient tout aussi excellents, rien à redire, et les desserts ont été un véritable plaisir : copieux et délicieux.
