CultuurCafé De Grote Post — Restaurant in Ostend

I had a wonderfull experience here. I hope it's not one of these cases where the first visit is awesome, and then everything gets disapointing, but we were all really excited after eating here. It's so wonderfull to find a place who offers a large variety of vegan options as well as some (belgian) sea side classics (fish, etc.). Everything seemed to be fresh, as some fishes weren't available due to bad weather (preventing fishing). The tastes of the foods were perfect. Especially the "zeebars" dish was exceptional with it's melted potatoes and veggies. Very friendly service. I would definitely recommend and can't wait...

Update August 2025 This place offers strong mix of nice vibe (laid back, low key) & good food. Always surprised how fast food arrives, while being tasty and fresh (feels like strong kitchen team!). This time we had beetburger (bietenburger) and Korean meetballs. We loved it and will be back for sure

We arrived a bit before closing time on a rainy and gloomy new year's eve, but they were super friendly about it. We could still order coffee and soup. We did our best to finish before closing time (we finished 5 minutes late, but they were really accommodating about it).
