The Boulengier is undoubtedly one of Brussels' finest organic bakeries, and its charm lies in its simplicity, transparency, and the intensity of flavor it offers.

What sets this bakery apart is its unwavering commitment to using organic ingredients and crafting every product by hand. It's a joy to support such a local and organic establishment. Allow me to recommend their Baguette Traditionnelle, a masterpiece in bread-making. With a beautifully crunchy crust and an impeccably balanced crumb, it promises a tender chewiness that's nothing short of delightful. Enjoy it in its purest form or elevate it with a drizzle of young olive oil, a combination that expertly balances the bread's acidity with the richness of the baguette.

Yet, what truly stole the show for me was their Pain aux Chocolat. I can confidently say it ranks among the best I've ever had. Its golden-buttery exterior boasts a tender, crispy texture, while the interior bursts with flavor and juiciness. The dark chocolate filling harmonizes seamlessly with every bite, creating an exquisite sensory experience.

The Boulengier unquestionably belongs in the upper echelons of Brussels' bakeries. A visit to this bakery is a journey worth embarking upon for any food lover. For more culinary impressions, follow me here and on Instagram...

My favourite boulengerie in Brussels. The highlights for me are their éclairs vanille and brownies - a real treat! I love their croissants, pain aux raisins, au chocolat, cinamon rolls! Their boulengier bread is also my favourite bread - though not very easy to cut. Focaccias are extremely tasty too. It is quite often that you will have to wait in line for 15 minutes or so especially on Sunday mornings or during lunch time but it is...

Croissant aux amandes has been my favorite but lately has really gone down hill. over cooked(Photo below) Bread is always good and now I swapped the croissant aux amandes for the plié praline. Not the same but is a good alternative. Staff is always busy as there always seems to be a line which is a good sign that you are doing something right. They still manage to smile and give off a...

Update: This is definitely the best bakery in Brussels. My favourite are the croissant with cream and eclair. All varieties of bread are amazing especially if you warm it a bit in a pan (low temperature without oil) and of course combined with nice cheese. I wish you would open a second bakery with place to enjoy your pastries with a cup of coffee ❀
