Judging from my recent experience, this place is overrated and too pricey for what we ate in my opinion. We shared a starter, 2 main courses and a dessert. We were very borderline full. The carpaccio with truffle was nice, I had the tuna as main course which except the 3 moderately sized pieces of fish, there were only 2-3 thin slices of potatoes, a handful of greens and few cherry tomatoes around the dish which I don’t see how could justify the 32€ I paid for. My partner ordered a medium cooked entrecôte which arrived half raw and which she could not eat because the meat was full of fibers that made it unpleasant in the mouth and practically not edible. She told the waiter and he said that this is how the meat should be! She then asked to at least have the meat cooked a bit more which kind of saved the situation, but unfortunately half of the meat ended up on the side of the dish unconsumed. Again for a price of 32€ that’s unacceptable. Overall, I did not like the attitude and price/ quality/ wise you can find much better places in Bxl. Also, not good cocktails. Ah, the terrace was nice :) All in all, I...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dolce Amaro, with some friends. It was my first time there, and I can confidently say that I will absolutely be returning. The restaurant had a bustling atmosphere, yet it managed to provide a truly delightful Italian experience.
Our Italian waiter added a warm and welcoming touch to the evening. He was exceptionally friendly and guided us in selecting dishes from the menu, enhancing our dining experience. We decided to trust the chef's recommendations, and we were certainly not disappointed.
The standout dish of the evening was undoubtedly their famous truffle pasta. It was nothing short of amazing, a true culinary masterpiece. The delicate and rich truffle flavor elevated the pasta to a whole new level. I recommend you share the dishes and try their starters also.
In summary, dining at Dolce Amaro was a nice experience. The combination of attentive service, a bustling atmosphere, and mouthwatering dishes, especially the truffle pasta, made it a night...
Read moreIn my view this is one of the best Italian fine cuisine restaurants in Brussels. I have been there a number of times and it has not disappointed a single time. Today we went for a business lunch, 6 people. We were welcomed in the usual warm way in Italian, French and English, were seated, offered bread and a small apetizer. We had a glass of bubbles each, still and sparkling water, wine, delicious starters and exquisite main courses, a desert each, coffee and a digestif. Considering that this is fine cuisine, prepared to perfection with high quality ingredients, served by friendly and clearly knowledgeable, accommodating staff, I could not ask for more or better. The meal, with all we had, was less than 100 Euro per person (bubbles, water, wine, 3 courses, coffee and digestif), this is not only great quality, but also great value for such excellent an experience. I highly...
