Serenitea Room — Restaurant in Saint-Gilles - Sint-Gillis

I’m visiting this lounge as a tourist from London on my own. The lounge was very good!

I was hesitant about visiting due to some of the poor reviews. I am pleasantly surprised. The shisha is good and reasonably priced. The drinks are a little overpriced. Not giving 5 stars because the milkshake was a bit expensive and not the best.

The atmosphere of the place is very good. Good Arab music. Coal changes every 15/20 minutes without having to ask. The seats are comfortable. Staff are very professional and polite. The managers are visible. I saw the manager asking people not to slouch or lay down so as to keep a good atmosphere here. There are plugs near every seat around the wall (EU plugs, don’t forget to bring your adapter).

Overall a very good experience. Good selection of shisha and food. There is a separate seating area if you want to eat first. There is a semi-outdoor where there is more daylight. It is a little bit dim inside, although I think I was just sat in a dark spot.

I think the negative reviews are from competitors who aren’t telling the truth. There is nothing illegal going on here (as one of the reviews suggested)! Each shisha comes with a tobacco warning that Belgian regulations require.

English: The place looks nice but the service is worse than a village tavern or kebab shop. The staff are illiterate and don't know any language. The behavior of the two men who were there was pompous, pretending to be professionals who can't even prepare and serve a drink, and they don't speak any language. Except for one girl who came later and even she cleaned the table and was very nice unlike those two grown men. The drinks are expensive and tasteless, there's no balance between price and quality, the organization is at zero. At the end, you feel like you've been robbed and haven't even rested.

Before trying to improve your establishment, learn to feel shame because you lack that word. Instead of writing that you'll improve.

Dutch: De plek ziet er leuk uit maar de service is slechter dan een dorpstaverne of een kebabzaak. Het personeel is ongeletterd en spreekt geen enkele taal. Het gedrag van de twee mannen die er waren was pompeus, zich voordoend als professionals die zelfs geen drankje kunnen bereiden en serveren, en ze spreken geen enkele taal. Behalve een meisje dat later kwam en zelfs zij ruimde de tafel op en was erg aardig in tegenstelling tot die twee volwassen mannen. De drankjes zijn duur en smakeloos, er is geen balans tussen prijs en kwaliteit, de organisatie is nul. Op het einde voel je je beroofd en heb je zelfs niet gerust.

Voordat je probeert je zaak te verbeteren, leer om schaamte te voelen want daar ontbreekt het je aan. In plaats van te schrijven dat je zal verbeteren.

Sauf une fille qui est venue plus tard et même elle a nettoyé la table et était très gentille contrairement à ces deux hommes adultes. Les boissons sont chères et sans goût, il n'y a aucun équilibre entre le prix et la qualité, l'organisation est nulle. À la fin, on a l'impression d'avoir été volé et de ne même pas s'être reposé.

Spent €100 euros for 2 shisha and 4 so called mocktails, went here cause of the high volume of reviews but seriously was a bit of a let down went for a business trip to Brussels so thought will go out let's check this highly reviewed place out, don't know what's going through people's heads.

The prices for food and drinks were a bit mad so we didnt order food from here, overall the decor was nice but can be better the mocktails were smoothies so I think paying €13 for a mocktail is mad which was a smoothies of course. Just really a let down but oh well.
