Bittersweet experience. The game started well, we were nicely welcomed by the team and had a great introduction of the game by Martin. Overall it was a very good escape room in terms of challenges and mystery to solve. Unfortunately, it was a busy day with a lot of rooms and we were left in our room without any assistance. Normally, when you do an escape room you always have a game master throughout the whole game that watch you through video and give you clues when asked or when they see you struggling for a while on the same puzzle. After 10 minutes of struggling on a puzzle we tried to get some hints and help as we weren’t getting anywhere and it was impossible to get in contact with anyone. We had a knock a lot of the door for a person to come in. This happened throughout the game, whenever we tried asking for clues it would take a couple of minutes before getting help and it would always be different people. helping so we didn’t feel like we had a game master like in regular escape rooms. Instead of getting cues the person would always kind of just come in and give you the solution. We finished just over the time limit which was a bittersweet feeling as we could have done it in time if we got the few cues we requested on time. At the end we were asked if we wanted to take a picture, we said yes, but the lady never came back so we just left. Overall, it was a nice room with good puzzles, but the staff and support and experience could have been better. My only recommendation would be to assign a game master to each room and have that person really follow the whole game instead of leaving the group fully on their own.
Edit after comment: I agree with letting customers focus on riddles, but in this case we just had zero support, we were struggling on a broken riddle and clearly nobody was following the game as we were doing it, as when we would actually get clues it would be on riddles already solved. It’s a shame to see the lack of game masters/personal being covered under a so to say strategy to let customers play completely in their own without any support. It’s...
Read moreAvoid the Japanese Tower! Fully agree with all previous comments saying that the room needs a "revamp". We have done many escape rooms and this was by far the worse! The clues are damaged, faded and this limits the understanding of the riddles. The rooms are extremely small and the organisation is cumbersome: after we managed to move to the second (tiny) room, the staff had to prepare the first room (the one we started from), making a lot of noise while we were trying to concentrate and solve the riddles in the second room. Furthermore, the master, who is supposed to watch after you, was not very well prepared and was not able to guide us when we were not able to identify some of the clues simply because they were so damaged that they cannot be used. In conclusion, it is not worth the money they are asking for and they should invest in better staff training and renewing the escape...
Read moreTook my boyfriend here for our anniversary and it was so fun even with only 2 people. Never done one of these before, I initially booked the Japanese tower but they recommended the greenhouse as it was easier for first-timers. Our game masters Gautier and Jules were super helpful and we managed to finish with just 6 minutes left on the clock. Definitely coming back!
UPDATE (1 month later): We came back to finally do the Japanese Tower stage after crushing the Greenhouse and it was incredible! Our game master Martin was super helpful and we managed to complete one of the highest level stages with 11 minutes left on the clock. I would rate this place higher than 5 stars if I could, we had so much fun that we already booked an even harder stage for next week. Thank you again to Martin and...
