Tucked away in Brussels, Donki Louise is a flavor-packed paradise for Mexican food enthusiasts. Stepping inside feels like entering a cozy burrito haven, where the vibe is laid-back and the aromas are irresistible. Opting for their scrumptious pulled pork burrito was a no-brainer, and let me tell you, it's a flavor explosion in every bite! Tender pork, zesty salsa, and creamy guac dance together inside a warm tortilla.
But here's the twist: Donki Louise operates in the digital age, so leave your cash at home! Payments and ordering are all about the QR codes, apps, and online platforms. Sure, it's a bit different, but trust me, the food makes it totally worth it. Just make sure your precious digital assistant's battery is fully charged!
In a nutshell, Donki Louise isn't just a restaurant; it's a fiesta for your taste buds. Whether you're grabbing takeout or chilling with amigos, this place delivers on flavor and fun. So, if you're craving a taste of Mexico without leaving Brussels, Donki Louise is your go-to spot for some serious...
Read moreI have been here many times for burritos, it's always consistently good, and that's enough for 5 stars. It's basically a Chipotle clone. For those that don't know, burritos are a Mexican-American food made from a sliced or shredded meat, rice, and fresh vegetables/fried beans/alsas. All the components are pre-made (in-house, unlike Chipotle, which is why I find it better), and you can choose whatever combination of ingredients you prefer, to wrap into a (mexican-style) flour tortilla. Unlike most places in Brussels, it's very fast to prepare, you can easily take it to go, and it's open all day. Thank you!
On the downsides, I miss the steak, the prices are getting up there, especially for the guacamole which is unjustifiable IMO, and I don't like joyn and wish you simply used a stamp card for...
Read moreOrdered the naked burrito for 14,9€, and although the taste and quality of ingredients was not bad, there is a big problem with the corn salsa version of the dish. It’s very, very dry. How could a spoon of sour cream ever be enough to cover a bowl of rice and beans ? If I have to order a 3,6€ (??!?) guacamole topping to make it work, it means the dish is not well thought out. Besides, 15€ for mostly cooked white rice, red beans, and veggie chicken… I know about inflation, but that’s a bit steep for a burrito bowl. (Btw, it’s the same price if you remove the rice and also, the cheese was MIA, and corn “salsa” was just plain corn). There’s potential for Donki, but it needs...
