We went to Tero to celebrate my husband’s birthday with his family in December 2022. We had already been there nearly a year before (January 2022) had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, this time the chef de salle was in a very bad mood. They did not have plat du jour (without any warning on the website, nor on the restaurant door), and the food they served was already cold. Moreover, the portions are SO small that we left the restaurant hungry. It was clear from the interactions the personnel had that there had been organisational issues and tangible tension among staff members, which turned the whole vibe of the restaurant into a negative atmosphere. Why would I want to spend again hundreds of euros and my family member’s birthday in a negative place where they mistreated me and they served cold food? Not to mention that the chef de salle and one of the waiters were wearing jeans and sneakers - which we did not expect from a supposedly elegant place such as Tero portaits itself. Lost opportunity for Tero, I was very...

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment. Despite advertising themselves as a vegetarian-friendly place, it became quickly apparent that they have little understanding of the food they serve. My group specifically requested vegan options, but from the beginning, things went wrong. We were asked to sit separately from the rest of our group, which was odd and uncomfortable.

When our food arrived, it was clear that the staff had no idea what constitutes a vegan meal. Everything served to us contained dairy or eggs, despite our clear instructions. To make matters worse, each employee we spoke to gave us a different answer about the ingredients, leaving us confused and frustrated. It was impossible to trust what we were being served.

As a result, we couldn’t eat any of the food, which completely ruined the meal. For a place that claims to cater to vegetarians, this level of ignorance about dietary restrictions is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with specific...

Update after our second visit in 2023:

The quality of the dishes dropped: the lamb dish is a joke, leek completely burned, pork dry, we ordered 9 plates and enjoyed only the cheese and the chocolate mouse.

The Service - disappointing - when asked for example what is in the dish, the response was: I don’t know I work at the bar - then why the heck are you serving us? The restaurant was not full - more like 50% capacity. When asked about the wine recommendation - he was not knowledgeable either. Service was slow and not attentive. Staff was when not serving, on their phones?!?

We visit many high end restaurants and also local authentic places and would recommend to skip this one, not worth the hype of the organic bio food.

Lunch in Brussels at @tero.bruxelles If restaurants twinned with each other like cities and towns do, this place would be the Belgian twin with @highergroundmcr - an innovative, farm-to-table gastronomic restaurant located in the former studio of artist Fernand Khnopff, which emphasizes sustainable cuisine using local, seasonal produce. I was welcomed and looked after superbly, and advised what would best to create a beautiful lunch. So relaxed and calming, this was a place for sharing with myself today. Parthenais beef. Tataki style, black garlic, mustabal, gomasio Tomato. Risotto, chanterelles, Parmesan, parsley Romaine lettuce. Caesar sauce, pomegranate, cashew Tero chocolate. Caramel, hazelnut cream, puffed rice

Nice place but tasteless food! The service is good and friendly. The place is trendy and well decorated. We like the tapas and sharing concept. But we give only 2 stars because of the food. Very good ingredients, presentation is appealing but when you taste the food there is always something missing! We had to use salt and pepper several times to give a taste... it almost never happen to me to add them. The naan was like a tasteless cake, the fish had no taste... and we even did not finnish the vega chocolate mousse (we have vegan family and we eat lots of vegan good food). And it is expensive, 100€ for a couple with one glass of wine each!
