EXCEPTIONALLY fresh and good Syrian hence ''Mediterranean area'' good (good that Angela Merkel and the EU did ''wir schaffen das'''' in 2015, so that''we Brussels like EU /Germany like for Ukrainians could/schaffen open far more Syrian street food places restaurants, night shops etc, open for the community at hours indeed when other do not work , high level quality/for very limited cost/value for Money and large plate.. this MY TANNOUR.i had the excellent smoked lemoney chicken (coriander), effiloché that is cut into ''bladed'' long-time '''maybe cooked thin long pieces (really exceptional meat they specialize a bit in poultry but great veggie indeed plus halloumi cheese).. Fresh fresh vegetable fresh fresh Syrian bread, houmous or sesame sauce or cream, ... In front of exceptional Maya bro bar coffee roasters..Food great maroccan Syrian international french (English Arabic...) service vibes/ pop rap soul music (international I don't think in st Gilles in all places they would put that) One of the best Mediterranean foods (and re lebanese-syrian in Brussels) outside the Mediterranean countries themselves I've had in the last 10 years if not more(and I was living in Italy and southern France traveling to Greece Spain also in excellent places street food or not)I'll be giving details soon. Even the wine (cans) was very good. White wine (organic I think) from Catalonia. Choice of soft one or two beers (neighborhood st Gilles street on corner very good beer places. Incredibly vibrant diverse highly cultural and artsy area (today there was a very nice Greek festival taking place just around the corner, I also met and advise ''go to librairie st Gilles'' around the corner. Came by in the middle of the afternoon for a late lunch. Ordered one of the menus with 2 bread sandwiches and some fries.

When it comes to the food I was extremely pleased, the haloumi was very tasty and crunchy and the beef was soft and tender. The fries on itself were deliciously seasoned and the garlic sauce on the side is thick and with light notes of garlic. Really an amazing meal.

The staff was friendly even tho they were changing shifts the service was fast. The environment is cute, the industrial approach mixed with cultural elements makes for a good combo. However the place could be taken better care of. Feels like there’s a lack of appreciation for it.

The platter for two for €15 is good value and enough food for two. The bread is made in house and it's great (fluffy and and tasty), so are the dips. The staff is friendly and the place is nice. However, there's a lack of effort to keep the place and tables clean. We sat outside and most tables were full of leftovers from previous guests. It took (too) long for them to be cleaned. We sat down at one of the tables with leftovers and it was only cleaned when the food arrived (you order and pay at the bar). The lady serving food would come out to bring food to guests but returned inside empty handed, rather than clearing any of the other tables and making space for...
