Good quality chicken very peculiar chapati. I consider myself a bit of curry aficionado. I've learned to make many breads myself including, naan, chapati, pooris and so on. When asked if everything was ok I politely questioned the "chapatti". It was certainly not like anything I've had before or made myself. Making chapatis is not difficult but it is an art. When I said to the waiter that I thought the chapatti was a bit strange, he didn't try to explain and just said "we've been here more than 20 years".
Well I've been making chapatis for longer than that.
I'm willing to be corrected, if he had said, "we've found that this style of flat bread is what Belgian customers prefer" or "where I come from we make them like this" then I would have been more or less satisfied. I was treated as a persona non grata and the service was surly to say the least.
I just don't know what to make of this attitude, do you honestly expect any customer to come back after this?
The curry took the right length of time to come, I'm somewhat suspicious if the food comes too quickly. The spicing of the curry was adequate but there was no love in it. The lassi was pleasant but needed more ice and there was no cardamon, I asked and was given both items.
I won't be back, it was...

Read moreDisappointing and extremely greasy food, with very slow service. We ordered for delivery using the Takeaway app, which estimated 1h to get our food and it took more than 90 minutes. The poor delivery driver had to wait at the restaurant 25 minutes. Once the food arrived, the entire bag was swimming in grease that had leaked out of the boxes. I ended up trying to pour some of the excess grease out of each curry, of which there was a lot. Some of the dishes were ok and decently spicy (the jalfrezi), but my husband was disappointed by the quality of the meat - the lamb in his korai gosht was very dry, as was the seekh kebab. I found the vegetarian dishes (saag paneer, chana masala, bhindi bhaji) to be very bland, and the saag paneer was sweet which was off-putting as this is usually my favorite dish. As an Indian food lover who loves spicy, flavorful food and previously was used to good quality cuisine in London, I was very disappointed and will not be eating any food...
