IMPERIAL Peru Nikkei — Restaurant in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode - Sint-Joost-ten-Node

We went to have diner for two to celebrate my wives birthday. First of all, several drinks, beers and starters were unavailable. Can happen, we understand. Secondly and more important, the timing of the kitchen is just chaos. The four dishes we orders were served all separatly. We did not eat one plate at the same time. When we asked about the other meals, they told the waiter had failed to note one of them. My meal was served cold, both potatoes and meat and I asked to reheat it. The potatoes came back cold a second time. Also, the service was lacking the minimal attention you would expect. Some of the plates we had for starters were only removed when we got the bill at the end. Furthermore, the quality of the food doesn’t justify the prices. We had La Bomba and Sopa de Marisco as a starter, priced 16€ and 18€. In our opinion, the vegetable springrolls are simply ready prepared frozen from an asian supermarket and not from their own kitchen. The seafood is the soup also obviously frozen and not fresh. When we made all these remarks at the manager at the end, she told us it was the waiters first day and was making excuses for the cold food. She even said she was aware of the missed orders during the service. Knowing all this, however, nobody made the least proposal to make up for these inconveniences, no discount on the bill, nothing offered from the house. Having paid 94€ in total, this experience was disappointing. I rarely write reviews on Google but I hope this one can help the restaurant to improve. We will not go...

We went there for friend's birthday dinner. She called them in advance and was told there will be a DJ and we can dance after dinner. We were a group of 15 people. When we arrived there was 1 table busy the rest was empty. I should say that the decor of the restaurant is beautiful. There is also another shisha bar dowstairs. The food was delicious, we had different suchis. The service was very good. As promissed, around 8 the DJ came and started with the nice dancing music, so we started dancing and havining fun. The dancing part is in front of the entrance door so not very comfortable if people have to get in. All of a sudden one women came and in a very rude way pushed people so she could open the door and let 2 people in. Then she told we couldn't dance and asked the DJ to put down the music. We were all surprised, but specially shocked the way it was done. I went with my friend to talk to the women, who apparently was the owner. The way she spoke to us was really unrespecteful, agressive and non professional. When we told her the resto was chosed because we could dance also and we told me will write comments.... finally we danced a bit but the whole magic atmosphere was damaged. I am sure she could have handled it differently It is such a pity to have such a nice restaurant and such nice cuisine and be so...

The same as many other reviews. I went here twice thinking they just had a bad day... but it's just a bad place. Fool me once and all that...

Yes, the food is tasty, but overpriced and small quantities. This actually became worse since last year.

The sole waiter was shoddily dressed and didn't want to be there. He was constantly on his phone, even when we had an order running, and forgot our orders. Our bottle of wine stayed unopened on our table for so long that we sent it back. The front door was always open, even in winter. The first time I went there, I assumed it was a technical issue, but months later, I understand they just don't care. Both times half of the menu (including the drinks) was not there, conveniently the things that were in discount. Speaking of: the promised 50% discount with the Fork turned out to only apply to a VERY limited number of dishes (ONE main meal). We only learned this when checking the bill, because the waiter gave a VERY deceptive explanation when we arrived - all four people at our table 'misunderstood'. When I went to complain about the bill, they were also suspiciously prepared for this. Reading the other reviews, we are completely convinced this was all intentional.

Conclusion: total scam, not recommended. I hope the cook finds a place that better matches...
