I’d give it one star, but I never even had my food so will withhold that rating and be generous with a two.
I walk in to get a table and wait. No help. Finally an unfriendly Sihk gentleman looks annoyed when I ask for a table. I get put outside. Whatever. Food and drinks order is taken fast. 20 mins go by. Maybe someone will ask me or the others outside if we want another drink. No. Nothing. 30 mins. I only ordered a main course, no appetizers. 40 mins with nothing. Now I’m irritated. 50 mins go by, nothing for me or the neighboring table. No one asking if we want another drink or why the food is taking so long. I can’t stand poor customer service and am starving, so I leave the Euros for my drink and walk away.
It’s a shame, I looked forward to trying the food. The manager should start to think if he wants to build a great business or just coast of his summertime tourist profits. He needs to get customer service training. The only helpful person was the bartender who told me where the toilets were, I’d fire the manager and have him run...
Read moreComing from the North of the UK we are definitely spoilt for choice when it comes to good Indian food, just spent 71 euro on what wouldn't be acceptable in the uk even as a low quality take out , the chicken jalfrezi tasted like a ready meal from a supermarket , very disappointing low quality food at very high prices . Think the owners need to pay a visit to Akbars in the uk for some ideas of what a good curry is . The reviews are false as this restaurant wouldn't last 6 months in the uk nobody would go again after there first experience. I will say the service was good and the place was clean but the food was very poor except the naan which was very good.
As a follow up As for eating all the food yes for £71 I will be eating it all , and as there was no more than 6 or 7 small pieces of meat it's not a big achievement...
Read moreOne of the best Indian restaurants I have tried in Belgium!
◽️Everything I or my European friends have tried has been amazing in taste ◽️vegetarian options available 🌱 ◽️Authentic Chai and Naan is something very hard to find outside India but this is the only place in Belgium where you can get these very very close to what you get in India ◽️ Price - slightly on higher side but the taste is worth it so I personally don’t mind it at all!! ◽️The owners are very friendly, they are from Amritsar.
Highly recommended to travel to Ieper to visit this restaurant!
(Also, It’s always a good idea to visit Ieper to know a bit about history and pay respect to world war soldiers, there are many...
