My friends came from Michigan and I brought them here because of its close proximity to their departing station. It was an utter disappointment and as a Belize native, I was left very uneasy about what transpired. We were first greeted with a condescending attitude by the bartender asking and teasing us about our age. This behavior continued until we left and were paying when the waitress also behaved this way and gave me my receipts the way you would a dog (“ha ha”In creole. Here here) I’ve never been treated this way at any establishment in my country, always with respect. I never write reviews but this warranted one because it was an absolute let down. My friends left here with a sour feeling and that is not something us Belizeans wish upon our tourist friends. Be kinder and learn some PR. Do better. If I could leave 0...

I ran into a couple "important people" here, which was entertaining. The staff is lovely. I really like the ladies that were working, and the place is clean with nice decor. As a radical economist, sitting in a former colonial home and seeing pictures of people who were slave owners or descendants of them rubbed me the wrong way. It reminded me of the hierarchy established by the colonizers because I'm sure of who owns the establishment, but I did not see any of those people around, only black people working. I had pibil (pork) sliders and their truffle parmesean fries with a few glasses of rosé. The food was delicious, but I expected 3 or 4 sliders, only got 2. Overall, it is a nice place with gorgeous views, but its history annoyed me a bit (even after my glasses of rosé). Will I be back? I'm not...

We came to Cork Street Whiskey Bar for drinks and a bite on a Saturday night, and this place did not disappoint! The building is an amazingly restored piece of history, built in the 1800s. Enjoy the ocean breeze and sit on their beautiful wrap around patio, or choose to sit indoors in comfy leather armchairs, surrounded by bookcases and a beautiful modern bar. The cocktail menu had a good range of liquors and styles, and the food, tapas share style, was delicious. Tim and Ashley made sure we had everything we needed, with great service and suggestions. Overall an amazing bar and great place for some small bites to accompany...

Absolutely exceptional experience. One of the best bars I've ever been to in the world, for sure. The cocktails are thoughtfully crafted and there is much more than just whiskey if that's not your thing. Staff was extremely friendly and the old colonial home that that bar is in with the expansive porch facing the water was perfect to enjoy. A hidden gem in Belize City for sure.

Love, love, love this place. Fantastic finger foods and even better Old Fashions. We were only going to have “one-and-done” but the music, the view, and the atmosphere drew us in and captivated us. We ended up having 3 each and sharing a variety of appetizers. It is upscale but you will feel right at home in casual attire too. A must to visit while in Belize City.
