There's a first and last time for everything. Basic food with upscale prices. First let me say, our server, Grisela, was great and my Aparol Spritz ($25) was perfect! The food......meh. I ordered the Rosemary Chicken Supreme for $48. It was so sweet, I tasted nothing else but the sweetness which they also drenched the roasted potatoes in. I found out I don't really like sweet coated roasted potatoes. I'd suggest serving the potatoes on the side. My son ordered the Spaghetti Gamerreti for $48. He enjoyed it but the pasta was overcooked. He also ordered the Warm Chocolate Brownie for $36 (it was his bday) which is described as a warm brownie w/butterscotch sauce and fruit compote. He said the brownie wasn't warm at all. The fruit compote was just some maraschino cherries spooned ontop the brownie. Ew! Not at all a fruit compote or even close to that. I ordered a Makers Mark Manhattan for my dessert ($40). Well made drink. Two small 8oz Pellingrino waters was $30. A 10% service charge was added automatically which I clarified w/our server that it's meant to be split with the house, so I included another 10% in cash for tip and I hope she pocketed it. I felt like I paid a 2-person $262 bill for Applebee's quality. Will not be returning for dinner service. Looks like a good venue for a ladies brunch and unless they have bottomless Mimosas, I doubt I'll find out. Also the hours listed on Google aren't accurate so check ahead for hours....
Read moreAnything that could POSSIBLY have been left to be desired by the food was absolutely KILLED by the service. I decided to dine in for lunch while waiting on my room to be prepared… I had a simple meal the turkey club w/ a side salad and an add on of fries.
I’ll keep it short and sweet the turkey was dry, like it was left on the grill since 10 am and just pulled off as ordered dry. The bread was stale and the toppings nonexistent. No problem though, I’ll just order extra sauce and make it edible myself. I called Greseilda over to make that happen, when inquiring about sauce options she promptly informed me they don’t serve ranch… CUTE right? Glad she looked out especially since I’m lactose intolerant.
Once I thanked her for the knowledge I quickly asked if they had anything else available maybe BBQ sauce, she quickly told me that wasn’t an option. Strange. Most restaurants have some sort of sauce options even if it’s ketchup or mayonnaise right? I thank Gerald’s again and once she was out of the way promptly asked another server for a menu… Lo and behold guess what was on the menu? Chipotle sauces, BBQ, aioli just to name a few.

Read moreThe new restaurant is beautiful and so is the ambiance but unfortunately the food is not up to scratch. I’ve been there twice since my trip to Belize. The first time I ordered a hamburger and it must have been laced with msg from some seasoning used and I got a migraine headache that lasted three days. The second time I went and asked the waitress if she could ask the chef not to add any seasoning with msg to my food and she said it wasn’t possible. The cocktail drinks are substandard. I had a pisco sour that is nothing like what the real pisco sour should be like. And there are no Belizean food options ie panades, rice n beans. There are about 8 flatbreads however so there needs to be a balance. Lastly, I had a cappuccino without any foam and the quality of the milk must not be good because my stomach was upset the second time after having a salad and a cappuccino.I would love to love this place because it’s so beautiful but may not...
