Just returned from a trip to Hopkins and opted to try Bahay as it was open a bit later, which worked out for us as we were returning from an excursion.
This was by far the worst meal we had while in Hopkins. It started bad and just continued to get worse and worse, to the point where it was almost comical.
We had four in our group. Ordered drinks to start with and after getting 3 of the 4 drinks, we inquired as to where our 4th drink was. Was then told they were out of mint (our friend ordered a mojito) and that she'd have to pick something else. Ok, no problem.
We then ordered our food. Two of the four meals were delivered and we figured we'd wait a few minutes for the other two meals so we could eat together. After about 5 to 10 minutes we decided to start as our meals were getting cold. A few minutes later, the third meal was served but no silverware was brought. Waited a few minutes and then opted to go ask for silverware. Now three of the four of us had meals. After another 10 minutes or so we go find the server to see where our fourth meal is. She says she'll check. Comes back after another 5 minutes or so to tell us that they're out of curry chicken, which is what our fourth ordered. He then orders a different meal. Several minutes go by and the waitress finally returns to let him know that his second choice is also not available. He then asks about other possibilities but it seems Chow Mein is all they have left. We opt to skip ordering a fourth meal because the other 3 of us are done and we just want to leave. We ask for the bill so we can get going. Another 10 minutes or so pass without a bill. We then get up as a group to find our waitress so we can get the bill - she's sitting at the bar eating. Now, I didn't check to see if she was eating chicken curry or not, but I wouldn't have been surprised.
Needless to say, we paid our bill and left as we'd had enough at this point. This was the worse meal and service I think I've ever had anywhere. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
By the way, there was only one other table, with 2 people at it, when we were there. It wasn't busy. Don't waste your time here, there are better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ate here almost every night while we stayed in Hopkins. A local recommended Bahay Fiesta on our way in and we are forever grateful to her. We went around 6pm the night we arrived, hungry and haggard after a long day of traveling. We had shrimp ceviche, fish curry & the fried red snapper and omg, we were so happy. We came back three more times for the ceviche (our resort had two great ceviche bars 2 minutes away, but this place won out every time). On the last night, we got the burger/onion rings and were pleasantly surprised by that as well. Food, service + convenience made this place worth coming back over and over. I wish I had a Bahay Fiesta outside my house back home. Still dreaming of the...

At the recommendation of Maritsa at Parrot Cove Lodge, we made dinner reservations at Bahay Fiesta for one evening during our stay. We got there a little ahead of time; no problem at all!
We enjoyed our drinks and shrimp fritter appetizer (sorry, no conch...) and our delicious entrees, shrimp, pork chop, grouper, and snapper) and didn't have room for dessert.
By the time we left, the place was packed with other happy diners.
At one point electricity in the neighborhood went down and came back up a moment later. It only took the bartender seconds to restore the racy...
