Blue Parrot Beach House — Hotel in Stann Creek District

We loved our stay at the Blue Parrot Beach House in Hopkins. We arrived after dark and were excited to see that we were right on the beach. The next morning we woke up to sunshine and waves. The location is amazing -Steps away from the water! The house was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. There were four couples in our group so the house was perfect for us. We spent most of our time on the downstairs patio and got to know the bartender Michael next door quite well. He delivered our drinks to us!! We used the kitchen to cook the fish we caught on our tour with Lucky and also made breakfast and some lunches at the house. It was equipped with all the kitchen utnesils we needed. (we did bring our own spices). Carel and Cornel were awesome to communicate with before our trip and gave us tons of good advice and information on tours, restaurants, etc. We rented two golf carts and it was definatly worth it to get us around town to restaurants, bars and grocery stores. The people in Hopkins were so kind. Housekeeping did a great job and the caretaker was quick to respond to our needs. The AC worked very well and the bedrooms also have ceiling fans. I am actually Debbie Brannock owner of MOWER MASTERS. We just returned from a fabulous vacation in Hopkins, Belize. We stayed at the lovely Blue Parrot Beach house and had a fabulous time. Hopkins is great but the Beach House made the stay even more sensational. It is located a short distance from the Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins. (a car is recommended) We rented the entire house for two families and it worked out nicely. The adult children utilized the upstairs villa and we parents used the downstairs villa. Most of the communal activities were done downstairs. This separation was nice as the younger adults had their own space. The owner was wonderful to work with. We had to cancel an earlier planned trip due to COVID and Cornel worked with us to reschedule with no difficulties. She offered many suggestions on things to do. There were too many for us to do them all but those that we tried were spot on. The accommodations were lovely and the pool was an added bonus. There is everything necessary to cook in if you like. We had a local chef come one night to prepare an authentic Garifuna dinner. Cornel suggested it and so would I. The team that took care of us was spectacular. We come to Hopkins often and we will definitely be staying a the Blue Parrot Beach House...

This place was a last minute one night stay because I got to Hopkins a day early. When I arrived, it didn’t seem as “nice” as some of its fancier dusters next door. HOWEVER, once inside the huge very nice room with an amazing view and little balcony hammock I was very glad I picked this place, especially for the price. ||Also, I wanted to eat at chef robs, their adjoining restaurant, that night. the owner, a lovely woman whose name right now escapes me, wasn’t sure i could at first as I was arriving late without a reservation (although she promised me a bar seat and was very apologetic about not having a table). However, later she sent a man up to my room who told me they had a table for for us which I thought was awesome. ||And the food was fabulous!
