Had a fantastic evening at Barracuda over dinner. Was visiting with a cruise ship and was happy to find a place that is off the cruise ship grid, so to speak. Sat at the bar where Ryan was both our bartender and Bermudian host. He introduced us to other patrons at the bar in keeping with Bermuda hospitality and then curated some amazing cocktails for us, each one special with one that used local fresh picked peaches. Ryan was engaging, fun, and professional. Our meals were outstanding - in fact I would say I enjoyed the best venison I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection, seasoned delicately, and beautifully plated with an accompaniment that hit the sweet, savoury, acidic and spicy notes of a high-end dish. As a discerning Cordon Bleu trained chef, I would recommend this restaurant unreservedly. Thank you...
Read moreMy wife, myself and my parents went to Bermuda on a cruise. I made special reservations at Barracuda's specifically to celebrate my father's and mother birthday. The atmosphere is chic and intimate. The music is background only and subdue. The service was outstanding, and Leo is amazing, personable, friendly and inviting. The bartender is terrific as well.
Food is fine dining fare. There are not enough adjectives to explain the delicious, delightful and savory meals. My wife and mom had the Burrata and Wahoo fish, my father had the delicious Ceaser salad and Salmon, while I had the exquisite & savory Black Salmon and Rockfish. Everything from presentation to flavor was impeccable & great. Next time we are in Bermuda we will be going back. Barracuda is a must go for all those...

We had the rockfish and lamb shank (a special for the day) and were not only underwhelmed, but there was nary ANY flavor. My scotch cocktail with white pepper held a lot of hope, but only tasted like watered down scotch. Two entrees, two cocktails, and two glasses of wine set us back just over $200. The meal was so lackluster, we skipped dessert.
The ambiance was business lunch, and the restaurant seemed proud of their island power lunch award. For a nice evening out, it felt stuffy and stiff.
If you're visiting the island and hoping for a nice dinner, take our advice and aim for something different. Even our beach club lunches had more...
